I think they are both bul**** fights for Pac, but Pac is not the one with the history of fighting easy fights.
Im actually gonna defend Pac here. 1. David Diaz was a logical choice. Pac wanted to test the waters of his new weight class. I think Pac carried Diaz for a large portion of the fight. 2. Im sure Pac considered top fighters at 135, but DLH came calling. And who in their right mind refuses that pay day? 3. ricky hatton was seen as the best junior welter in the division.Yes Bradley may be more skilled overall, but at the time, Hatton was the best. And its not like people didnt know Hattons D was shaky. However many felt, Pac didnt have the power at the weight to hurt him. Given Hattons following it was the logical fight at that weight. 4. Now Cotto was a little shaky. I could see this domination coming a mile away. Cotto lost to Clottey, and didnt look that great against Jennings either. He's always had a shaky defense. But again, Pac had the fight between Mosley and Cotto. Mosley would have been the tougher fight, but I dont think he would have granted his demands like Cotto did.
Says who??? Show me the source!!! I have only heard that from Posters. Arum has came out and said on several Boxing Sites that they WANT MALIGNAGGI AND FOREMAN, If Floyd/Pac doesn't happen.
I am just trying to understand the 20plus threads a day BASHING FLOYD'S LIST OF FIGHTERS...BUT TO DO THAT TO ANOTHER...OMG..THAT'S BLASPHEMY!!!! GTFO!!!
Good & objective :yikes (until the 4th, but to each his own). Not to mention that Diaz, Cotto & Foreman are all in-house fighters which may be a factor why they were chosen as negotiations will not be messy and the money'd be monopolized by Arum. As for Malignagger, phuck Arum for that. Totally meaningless and indefensible choice.
Google my friend. It's been thrown around even before the Pac-Cotto bout, though I'm inclined to believe that MHatton, Malignagger, and Foreman are just random names thrown around to up the ante at the negotiating table.
Hatton's lawyer Gareth Williams confirmed: "There appears to be some doubt over Mayweather and Pacquiao fighting in March. "I spoke to Richard Schaefer [CEO of Golden Boy Promotions] about the possibility of Mayweather fighting Matthew here in England next year. There is a reason Cotto was given the win over Clottey. I thought you were supposed to take the belt from the champion. They knew Cotto would make them more money and was a far easier fight than Clottey.
