I think he was top rank when he fought Cotto.

 

Clearly it is Bob Arum who unnecessarily pulled the plug out boxings biggest fight.

This is what I think played in Arums head the last period:

-Bob Arum in the past wanted to put Manny against Top Rank fighters so he could earn money from both sides (e.g. Cotto).
- Past month, Bob Arum wanted to make the Floyd fight as this could be his last fight with Manny. His future contract with Manny is uncertain (Manny could leave as Arum needs Manny more than Manny needs Arum. GoldenBoy has been flirting with Manny for years) so he wants to capitalize it now with the big fight against Floyd (and earning quite some millions of dollars).
- The steroids-fiasco begins. Arum lets Manny start a lawsuit. Arum is now certain that Manny in the future will only work with Top Rank (GoldenBoy is now evil in Manny's eyes). Arum can milk his cashcow Manny longer now. He wants the Floyd-fight later on and wants to milk out with Top Rank opponents.
Don't be surprised if Pac-Cotto 2 or Pac-Margacheato will be played as negotiations card by Arum in the future.

No, he wasn't. He's been with Dibella for as long as I can remember. If you've seen the Magic Man Documentary, leading in to the Cotto fight they showed plenty of footage with him and Dibella and Dibella asking him if he wanted Joshua Clottey for sparring since Clottey was a Dibella fighter then too.

 

So Pac and Roach seem to agree with deadlines but Arum doesn't? WFT is going on?

Manny needs to fire Arum ASAP.

 

100% all of us agree, what a pity there is no sort of commision that could just have got hold of both of them by the ear & imposed there own comprimise & suspend eitherone for 5 years if they duck:deal

Man I don't know what has taken everyone so long to see "The Meddling Hand" of Arum. He has been 'causing Floyd grief since FMJ left Top Rank. All of this ducking crap leads right back to Arum's feet. Manny is a easily influenced man and I feel bad for him, but these are the guys he chooses to associate with.

Duranimal please. He doesn't take the fight because a boxing match puts your life at risk. Nobody wants to put their life on the line against a cheat. At this point I think only a fool doesn't think Manny is cheating.
