how the **** do you have floyd wining when out of all the welterweights he has fought the weakest opponents? if he beats shane, then i can say ok at least but jesus christ, next thing u wil be asking who wins wins between floyd vs superman.

based on the way you paired up the fights, i can see how you make the case for floyd making the finals, but i am not sure that floyd beats tito and vernon, i am sorry. what happens if shane and floyd foough prime 4 prime in first round. floyd does not make it out of first round sorry. Paul williams ***** slaps floyd around the ring like no tomorrow. anyway the finals will be decided in terms how of the are matched,. lot of these fights can go either way. they only i can say definitively is that floyd DOES NOT WIN the tournament.

Tournament would end with Floyd retiring early. Because he wouldn't fight against half of those guys

"If" i go by most of your ranking. The result to me is more like ^^.

Very slightly tweaked your ranking, I put Cotto one notch lower than Mosley (#6), "to me" The OP put Forrest too highly, so i exchanged them.

Factors affecting the result is: style make fights. Like, Oscar didn't get to fight the fighters that can beat him (Shane, Tito). To me peak Oscar can beat Forrest. Forrest is a mismatch to FMJ, again style make fights factor. To me, Pacquiao can upset Shane (current Pac vs. prime WW Shane, the LW version is better). Peak Oscar is a mismatch to Pacquiao. Again, I can see 3 guys in the list beating Oscar here - but the right matchup didn't come.

Note that what im trying to prove here is: the OP is bias.

    Nice...well done. i like your match-ups.

As much as I like Forrest, he had two fights against Mosley where he looked great. But I can also name several fights where he looked AWFUL. I know that alot of people Dis-like...Wel lets be honest HATE Floyd Mayweather. I get it!!! Hell even i am fully aware that he's a Jerk. But in the ring...No-one is MORE SKILLFUL NOR SMARTER...PERIOD!!! And I think back to those WILD LOPPING ASS PUNCHES that were landed over and over again by Mayorga against Forrest. And your telling me that the pin-point accuarcy of Floyd won't POP Forrest ass.

But in All, I respect your Bracket. Good Final.

And thanks for added "positively" to the thread.

I wish your insight and nature of posting was CONTAGIOUS!

Thats just not the way to look at it at all...Mayorga was throwing caution to the wind and had the kind of uninhibited aggression that can unravel a coventional boxer like Forrest sometimes.

I really dont remember Mayorga landing over and over again...He pretty much dragged Forrest into a brawl the first time and it was over fairly early.
I remember him having a hard time catching Forrest clean for a lot of the rematch, he just had him spooked.

There is just no way Money would fight him like that. It would be a tactical shootout and Floyd has to contend with a guy who holds some serious physical advantages over him and is just as well schooled (in a different mould though). That kind of fights suits Forrest to a t.
Floyd is super accurate but he needs to be more than that to beat Forrest. He actually has to come out of that shell and throw some leather, take some risks to cover the distance...for his trouble I see him eating enough Forrest right hands to send right back into that shell.

He might have been able to beat him...but using the Mayorga fight as evidence is laughable quite frankly.

If Paul Williams plays the right way, he should win.
