Mayweather was more comfortable around that weight than Corrales, you can see their respective weights during fight night that Floyd would bounce back up to 136 whereas Corrales to 146. Pacquiao and Morales both drained themselves equally and rebounded to 140 come fight night. Morales' weigh ins were all 130 and below prior to his first Pac skirmish, and at 130 again for their 2nd and 3rd.
You're the idiot. Birds of a feather, flock together hahaha. The point is that it is easier to maintain weight during training by eating and weight training than it is to either gain or lose a lot of weight. What part of that don't you understand?
No they did not. Morales had to starve himself to make weight in that second fight. When you starve yourself like that, you can't eat or drink much after the weigh in or you'll get sick. This limited Morales' ablity to rehydrate. Morles' fight prior to that fight took place at 135 because he couldn't make 130. He asked to have that 2nd Pac fight at 132 and was of course denied. Not only was he denied, but they put a 6 figure overweight clause in the contract. This is of course what forced Morales to starve himself. Just look at the weigh in, Morales looked like a corpse. To say that they drained themselves equally is way off base.
I was referring to the first fight initially but I'll give you that one-- The matter at hand was that weight gaining and draining is common enough in matches between fighters that 1lb off the normal fight weight that Cotto had to 'endure' isn't so insurmountable as all the other drained/bloated cases between either floyd or manny.
I said credentials in meaning that provide some proof that you have a background in conditioning since you say you know so much about it provide me with some sort of proof to support you claiming to know it all when it comes down to it..
these joyboys like to pattern all boxers in floyd. they think if you are walking around the weight, that is your natural fighting weight when most fighters do is drop down from their walk around weight and fight at a lower weight (natural fighting weight). of course they would ignore this because they think all standards should be based from floyd alone and all the other 95% of fighters are abnormal for fighting below their walk-around weight. truly some idiots who only suck floyds dick.
A LOT of pacfans don't like that fight so... oh well...go on fighting your enemies! :tired This content is protected
If no one saw the fight then...NO...how could you say those of good numbers. But if you did see the fight you'd notice that his opponent really didn't leave much of any openings behind a shell defense that rarely opened up. More impressive was Manny's consistant work rate and not allowing himself to get frustrated and continue to work against a fighter who was looking to survive.
Your morales arguement is pathetic, its Not Mannys fault that Morales would blow up in weight as much as he did in between fights, Morales was also able to fight Barrera a third time at that weight as well and didnt seem to look bad at all....
Bazooka, what the hell are you talking about? I'm refering to the second and third fights between Morales and Pacquiao. Morales was clearly drained in those fights, especially the second one. The 3rd fight with Barrera, of course, came before any of the Pacquiao fights.
ya man ur off again...morales had to do a lot more struggling in the second and third pac fight..trust it wasnt even...not that it matters but it still wasnt even...
Morales was not drained because Manny forced him to meet at a catch weight, Morales was drained becuase he ****ing overloads himself when he is not training he does this to himself it wasnt manny doing anything to him... if you have followed the sport and I know you have so there isnt really any excuse you would know that Morales himself was not taking proper care of himself in between fights and that is not the fault of Manny its the responsibility of the fighter who gets paid millions to make sure he trains and performs like a proffessional.
agreed about oscar...but he looked awesome coming off a 18 month layoff in beating ricardo..i know ricardo is tailor made and it isnt hard to look good against him..but regardless...oscar was better than a lot of fighters at 154 at the time and floyd was moving up in weight so floyd also wasnt at his prime weight when he beat oscar..just as ricky wasnt at his when he fought floyd yea i see it much more different than you..but good stuff..i just dont agree....i mean hatton was rocked by lazcano in his very next fight and shane, though old and not prime, was the next best thing other than manny and he did what he had to do with shane plus answered some questions in this fight about his chin i got mayweather winning in that one:bbb:good
I'm not going to sit here and say Morales didn't take care of himself. However, he was clearly having big time problems making 130 lbs. The fight with Raheem took place at 135 because he couldn't make 130. He asked Pacquiao to have their second fight at 132, and Pacquiao refused. Not only did they refuse to fight over 130, they put a six figure overweight clause in the contract. Morales clearly had big time problems making 130 lbs., and team Pacquiao took advantage of this.
