 I'm not a fan either Gaz. Although i was hoping it would get Demarco to go at Valero knowing he was down. I prefer fights to be judged and scores known at end of fight.

I'm a wee bit pissed but I'll (hopefully) present a good case for the prosecution against open scoring tomorrow but thats 2 fights tonight thats gone pear shaped (but not the result affected) because of open scoring.

Goes wrong in Germany when they do it as well, its ****ing ****, the fighter just doesn't care once he knows hes got no chance and hes so far behind.

Yeah I'm not a fan. Peters vs Vitali summed it up for me.

Although I am not a fan of open scoring, it didn't really make a difference in the DeMarco fight; he was more discouraged by Valero's straight left than the score. It was an easy fight to score. Also shows you that DeMarco didn't believe he had the power to KO Valero at that point.

Not a fan. On another note I remember when I was first getting into boxing I browsed some old Ring Magazine covers to see what the big fights were round that time so I could watch them. With them often being repeats on HBO the judge's official scorecards were often shown every few rounds, although it's not live the same principle applies, ruins the drama and suspense of the fight.

I've not been a fan of it since Samuel Peter decided to quit after having had the scores announced after Round 8 of his Klitschko fight :good

Have never been a fan, not since I saw it being used in the Mormeck-Bell rematch, when Mormeck covered up and ran for the last part of the fight because he knew he had it in the bag.

I bet Oscar De La Hoya wishes he'd have had it in at least six of his fights.
