You ask 10 guys what p4p means and you will get 10 differant answers. It is a fun concept but people take it to seriously.

    Good list! Close to mine;

    1 Manny Pacquiao
    2 Juan Manuel Marquez
    3 Israel Vazquez
    4 Bernard Hopkins
    5 Miguel Cotto
    6 Shane Mosely
    7 Ricky Hatton
    8 Antonio Margarito
    9 Ivan Calderon
    10 Paul Williams

I dropped Rafa Marquez due to inactivity, Izzy will go the same way but I've given Izzy a month or so extra given that he was the victor. For the record, I would have Rafa at 7 and the all those on seven or below drop a place.

He avenged the defeat in a round 1 blowout against a good opponent, he holds a win over Margarito pre-Cotto, and has moved up and knocked everybody out. Mosley is on the list based on 1 win over Margarito, why should Williams be any different?

he's on the list based on his overall body of work over the past few years, just compare there past 5 fights....

stopped Vargas, beat Collazo, loss a close one to Cotto, KO'd Mayorga at 154, and stopped Margarito the #1 WW

Williams beat Margarito in a close fight when he was just a titlest, loss big to Quintana, avenged his loss to Quintana by 1st round KO, KO'd a bum at 160, then stopped Philips @ 154 for a title

lets be real here, these 2 need not be compared..

Vargas was shot to pieces, and he looked like **** against Mayorga, another fighter who was and is undeniably shot.

Williams body of work is very impressive, he avenged his only loss in that space of time, something Mosley has yet to do.

I have Williams more deserving than Ricky Hatton.

Williams more deserving then Hatton????? there isn't a single win on his record that compares to Hattins win over Tzyu

as far as I'm concerned both fighters are still riding the wave off of beating one guy, but... You can't compare beating Tzyu with beating Margarito

I don't know what criteria you guys use on your p4p list, but I don't count a win for Hatton that happened well over 3 years ago. Let's get up to date, shall we?

Hatton has lost to Mayweather, looked like **** against Lazcano and beat Paulie.

Williams has blew out Quintana in 1 round, and won all of his fights above 147 by stoppage.

The arguement has nothing to do with Mosley. He deserves to be there, but so does Williams.

Who is more deserving than Williams, and please don't say Ricky Hatton.

I'm British, by the way. I don't even like Williams, I'm just of the opinion that Paul has done enough to get recognition.

pf4 list are useless and very subjective. But if i had to do one, i would need a lot of crack to put Hatton in there.

Let me ask you this question...

If Hatton beats Pacquiao in dominant fashion, where would you rank him then?...It would be ****in' insane to throw a guy so high on a list who wasn't even on the list before...or even be crowned as the new p4p. Or does Ricky now deserve that 10 slot?

If Ricky Hatton dominates Manny Pacquiao, he is deserving of a 5th or 6th place in my estimation. Why would it be crazy? You need to achieve the status, and beating the P4P champion in dominant fashion would suffice.

Antonio Margarito was lifted into the P4P rankings based off his one victory over Miguel Cotto. Darchinyan was lifted into the P4P list, or at least should have been, given the way he defeated Cristian Mijares. Is this not how the list works?

As of now, however, he has not done anything recently to warrant him being ahead of even Paul Williams.

That's good...I have a feeling though if he beats Pacquiao in dominant fashion the ****er will be somewhere in the top 3 :-(

Whenever people try and justify Hatton being in the list, they mention him clearing out his division or beating Tyzu. He did all of those things back in 2005. I am talking about now, right now - what has Ricky Hatton done to make him such a lock, as he seems to be on ESB, for the list? i just don't understand.

Let's take Williams out of the equation. Why Ricky?
