F.WARRREN-"I offered Froch a million pounds to fight Cleverly"

Because his promoter is a **** and making cleverly look like one as well. I'd be surprised if froch is even allowed to fight at LHW with the bute contract. I've pointed this out a few times but nobody can clarify.

 

£1 million not a bad offer, ward is gettin less than that facing the best light heavyweight in the world in chad dawson

Im not sure that froch wins easily, he has slowed down a lot and i think clevs durability speed and work rate would trouble froch, i know he has his critics but clev is a talented fighter and i cant see froch risking his record against a young fighter like clev. Froch is nothing special to be fair he has done alot in his career but lost to two super middles and was lucky to get bute first. Any top five super middle would smash bute!

 

Cleverly can't box, and is wide open defensively.

Froch would completely outbox him, maybe even a near shut out on the cards.

 

Well he boxed well enough to beat bellew so he must be doing something right, never would be a shut out!

 

Bellew outboxed Nathan for the best part of the fight and proved he is the better technical boxer, Nathan only made it competitive through his engine and stamina.

For what its worth I had Bellew winning by a round and could have easily been two.

 

Froch doesn't need Clev, especially when going up in weight.

Ticking over fight against Mack, rematch Bute then try and gain revenge against Kessler.

After that he can hang his gloves up, leave boxing knowing he'll be remembered as a 3x SMW world champion that never ducked anyone, took on all comers and was as hard as nails.

 

I don't think many of us hate Nathan Cleverly.

They just want him to fight someone good, and make the most of his potential.

Neither of which are happening at the minute.

 

Cleverly is going to make Calzaghe look like a road warrior.

 

On the scene there's an interview with Frank that talks about all this stuff and his take on Matchroom amongst other things. He even praises Adam Booth

 

Makes me laugh him continuing to talk about the 30,000 at upton park as if it was his super promoting skills that got that many. we all know why they got so many.

Eddie admitted that he received the offer but said Froch has no interest fighting above 168 and wouldn't take the fight if it was several times more. Fwiw, I don't think it would be an easy night for Froch at all; Clev's speed and engine would give him big problems imo.
