But after the two hardened blocks were discovered by Mosley's trainer Naazim Richardson, Margarito had no chance against Mosley, losing by TKO in the ninth round. Coincidence? "I can't see how somebody with all these inspectors let something like that go over their heads," Steward said.

First of all, I'm repeating myself: there's still no official decision on this subject. Margarito might be guilty, but until that is proven by commission officials, you, Manny Steward, just cannot give an interview stating "He's tainted everything he has done,". Court cases usually follow statements like this.

I've lost tons of respect for Steward. HBO crew shouldnt have jumped on the simple rumor anyway. Fact was Margarito's hands weren't wrapped properly, and there was something that might be illegal, something, that might give an advantage if used, and that's what the commission is investigating in these days. And the commission is silent as it should be: they'll have an official decision when they are done, and up to that point, its all speculation. So why would HBO jump on the subject anyway?

NYPost deserves a f*ck you! too. Stating that "now the question is whether Margarito had loaded wraps for that fight, too" is absolutely stupid as Margarito never had illegal wraps for the Mosley fight, as they rewrapped it for f's sake! And again: whether he intended to use loaded gloves is still just speculation, so why would anyone at this moment question his previous fights? The NSAC never had any problems with Margarito's wraps back in July, for a simple fact. So speculating whether that commission did it's job wrong or even corruption was involved (thats logical next step if you question previous Margarito fights), is stupid.

Emanuel Steward is a well-known Sugar Shane Mosley fan (as well as the whole HBO crew), but he shouldn't act like a Mosley fan in the expert commentator rule, where his job is unbiased commentary. And guess what, it's not speculation, but a fact that SSM used illegal substances for the 2nd DLH fight, and I don't remember Manny 'HOF' Steward stating that "He's tainted everything he has done" - when Mosley clearly did that. Whether Shane knew what he did was illegal is absolutely irrelevant, just as in the case of Margarito, violating the rules is violating the rules. He shouldn't make a blemishing statements based on speculation, especially when he kept his mouth shut in Mosley's case.

Stewart is absolutely right, so don't get mad him for having an opinion on the issue.. Even thought verdict is still out , it does not look good, a number of witness of the wraps have given their opinion on what the object in margarito gloves looked like and if margarito is found guilty of wrong doing his career is a wrap..

Manny's right. Margo's tainted for good. Even if this thing gets covered up people will think he cheated before. If I watched Cintron looking like he was scared to get hit in the second fight and then go down on a body shot that didn't look that hard I would be wondering too.

its a free world, he can say what he likes!especially considering there is alot of evidence against margarito!

why would Richardson lie??and why would he continue it after the fight if it were not true?

margarito had something illegal in his gloves!something ILLEGAL!!!!

that allows steward to give his opinion on it......

Nothing wrong on Emanuel's interview, it is his opinion, he is entitle too, plus he is an authority in boxing...and yes he is right Margarito did taint his legacy, just the idea of wrong doing is enought to taint someones reputation......

IF it is true... Then I'll open a F*** you Antonio Margarito thread, but until that, let's not jump on various rumors. Based on rumors, Steward (a Mosley supporter who never said "Mosley has tainted everything he has done") should not make conclusions. Based on results, he can. But objectivity would be a comment on Mosley as well, if he doesn't, and because he likes him and doesn't like Margarito, it's respect lost because he lacks objectivity. Steroids make you much stronger, like loaded gloves. Both horrible in my book. But as of today, only Mosley's case is proved. Let's just wait for the commission investigation for Chrissakes. As you guys said: they have evidence of SOMETHING. Whether it's actually something to take illegal advantage or not is the question here...

All we are saying is that , becuase the idea of wrong doing is so strong, and IMO is the worst dirty trick that you can do in boxing, loading your gloves, ..he should be banned from boxing for at least years.....forfit his purse, and NC his last few fights....

Margarito is not a big enough puncher to make Cintron go down and cry from a weak body shot and bust Clottey's hands. Look Margarito looked mentally and physically shot from the first bell against Mosley. I can understand Shane finally cracking his chin because he hit him with bombs all night. Margarito looked messed up mentally and Shane looked ready to destroy him. Shane would have won anyway but Margarito didn't even show up and why is it every time Margarito fights a decent fighter he getd owned the first half of the fight?

They can question Margarito's whole career but it's kind of pointless because they don't have any proof of this happening any other time. From what I understand, before big fights, it's the opposing trainer's job to watch the hand wrapping carefully.

Nazim did his job and caught it so that means that the other trainers either didn't see anything illegal in Margarito's other fights, or were too lazy to catch it.

I've met Manny and spoken to him several times by phone and based upon my limited interaction he is a real gentleman. He could have phrased it better by saying "this situation has tainted everything he [margo] has done" instead of "he has tainted everything he has done" which I think is an important distinction.

At this point we just don't know that facts but the circumstances so far have opened up a total **** storm that certainly will taint AM's career - rightly or wrongly. What actually happened and who is to blame is still to be determined. What is certain is that something wasn't right with the wraps. When it comes to these things you need to be above reproach, above any doubt or suspicion or you will be exposed to the risk of someone challenging your reputation as a fighter

Speed equals power as much as anything and Margarito as little of it. Seriously, look at how slow some of his punches have been and not even landed flush and his opponents look hurt.
