Exactly. He's acting as an ESB shill, just like Lampley. I think they have an agenda to discredit Margarito's win over their house fighter, Cotto. It SO obvious.

Steward is full of ****. Why didn't he catch anything illegal when he was in Cintron's corner against Margarito.

 

I hope you are referring to Berto cuz Cotto was no hype job. That's for sure. Loosley defined, a hype job is a guy who goes undefeated against lesser opponents while garnering acclaim for doing so and then goes out and loses to the first fighter who really tests him. Cotto does not fit that description. He was beating the **** out of everyone prior to facing Margarito. Obviously he didn't do that to Mosley but he still beat him.

Thinking and saying things are 2 different things.You dont say EVERYTHING that you or others may think;you engage the brain and suspend comment until you are sure that your utterances carry sufficient weight.

How about he waits for a definitive decision on this before he passes comments criticising Margarito?

People are thinking Margarito could be guilty,sure,but that doesnt mean its open season on him from respected influential figures until he's actually found guilty.

If he IS found guilty,Steward will have the rest of his career to hoare out his views on all aspects of this for all the money he wants.
Why not just wait a bit longer so he can truly speak from the moral high ground he thinks he occupies?

Zachman, you are playing the same game here that the others are playing against Marg. I agree Lampley and his "God speaks through me" persona and Stewart's comments should have been tempered, especially Stewart's recent comments, but to say that they are just suits trying to stick it to Margarito has as much validitiy as the conclusions that Marg. is guilty allready.

 

Because Steward doesn't care for his fighter's like Richardson does that's why. Richardson is an old school no nonsense type of guy.

 

Cotto stood for rounds in the front of Margo getting hit by loaded gloves....like it or not he is no hype...ESPN annouced they should ahve the resolution on the Margo

i mean i am certainly wondering about the cotto fight without a doubt, but to go as far as saying all his fights or even most his fights is wrong man

 

I agree with this post because if he is found to be innocent of any wrong doing, these rumors could easily hurt his career. Also if nothing out of the ordinary is found, then HBO's crew committed a terrible mistake.

 

Agreed.Thats the guy who tried to encourage the 43 year old,5 year retired Lennox Lewis to return for his own payday.The same guy who encouraged a well shot Hearns to continue fighting to shore up his own financial troubles.

The word was that they were in fact, loaded. If they were, I have no doubt he never did this before????? Maybe if Manny had `loaded` Hearns hands against Hagler. He wouldn`t have broken his hand on MMH`s hard head... If he is shown to have loaded his gloves. His fight with Cotto ABSOLUTELY comes into question...
