Faber makes 135 debut vs Mizugaki 8/18

    I think a great thing is that we are likely to see these matchups. The WEC usually put these guys together in exciting and interesting fights. We can just sit back and enjoy the ride.:hey

    What a fight! As a fan of both, it'll be tough to take another loss for either since both badly need to put some wins together...but what a fun ride it should be.

    Well Mizugaki can handle another loss much better because nobody really sees him as an elite Bantamweight or a Championship level fighter. Mizugaki is very good and can test anyone in the divison but Urijah is the future HOF fighter and if hes dropping to 135 after having some tough losses at 145 only to lose his first bout there then it could it could cripple him in some ways.

    I agree with this partially , Jorgenson and Page are solid operators on the world stage , and have racked up decent win streaks (Jorgenson 4 and Page 3) , but neither have truly lit the world alight , technically speaking , ill stop you there , i know you dont always have to blitz the chasing pack to get recognition and i respect that both these fighters have racked up 3 or 4 wins on the bounce , that cant be overlooked . And the morales in me says , it would be a bit shitty if Jorgenson doesnt get a shot soon !!!!

    However in Faber , the WEC have a world recognised super star in the world of MMA , and like it or lump , morally or not they want him to have that belt around his weight as soon as possible , and lets be real and fair to the others Faber is just a better fighter P4P than the chasing pack , i know Torres is now 0 & 2 in his last 2 fights but thats MMA , and everybody knows that Faber and Torres are the top dogs @35 , or everybody is presuming they will be eventually should i say ............

    I think your right though id be looking to match Page and Jorgenson with Bowles and Torres , but id swap it round , id put Jorgenson in with Torres and Bowles in with Page , **** knows why i just think stylistically they make for better fights on the eye , and if Jorgenson beat Torres (regardless of Torres last two fights) that would confirm that this guy is now the outright #1 contender and lets do the right thing and give him a shot , but its hard to see where the peices fit in terms of time between shows , and keeping fighters inactive unnesecarily , your right its a ****in mess :lol:

    Ill summarize and just say if Faber blitzes Mizugaki and Cruz beats Benavidez then they'll meet IMO rightly or wrongly , if Benavidez wins i dont see Faber fighting for the title until he loses it for obvious reasons , which IMO wouldnt be too long anyway !!!!

    Well I went with Bowles vs Jorgenson and Torres vs Page because we have already seen Bowles choke out Page pretty quickly about 2 years ago. I think Jorgenson is alittle closer then Page is to the title so I think it makes sense to make him with the most recent former Champion in Bowles. Both the fights are mouth watering matchups and so are they if we swap them like your idea. Or **** why not Bowles-Torres II and Page-Jorgenson ? But im going with the other fights just because ok we established the point that Page and Jorgenson are on the rise and knocking on the door for title shots so the best way to really see if they are ready is see what happens vs former Champions who quite honestly could very well regain the title.

    I love Urijah but even if he rolls through Mizugaki and Cruz beats Benavidez agian id honestly like to see Urijah win just one more fight that is assuming Jorgenson or Damacio can beat a former Champ which wont be easy. Its just Urijah hasnt won back to back fights in quite some time and a win over Mizugaki wont change that (Jorgenson just recently beat him to) plus Urijah has lost his last 3 title fights they cant just keep giving him a shot every time he wins one fight. Its so crazy trying to talk like this though theres just so many damn contenders out there right now. Regardless of who fights who im certain the fights will be amazing.
