Khatchikian is rowing out a slow jab from afar, keeping his right glove pressed against his cheek as he works the left straight out from his own face to deliver gnat-stings on Signani's, but leaving his arm extended long enough for the latter to reach across the gap and reciprocate with both hands. When the Italian drops a level and swoops in close, his left elbow & bicep raised to smash into Khatchikian's chest like a battering ram, they both load up on power shots and brawl their way apart, messily.

Honestly, main event aside, very forgivable, as the undercard is quite forgettable on paper and not exactly top shelf vintage stuff of what I've caught.

Grandelli vs. Bellotti was at least more exciting, if not all that much higher a skill level than is this one..

 

I expected a bit more from this match-up, especially as, for Signani, this is probably the last stab at picking up a major relevant victory, and for Khatchikian it would be his signature one, after having failed at the world class tier in his two biggest steps up (against GRS and DeGale)

They way Khatchikian thinks a 1-2 is thrown gives me anxiety..

Khatchikian drunkenly staggering around the ring, throwing himself even further off-balance when he snaps out an overreaching jab into the face of Signani, whom, lucky for Khatchikian, is even clumsier perambulator. Also lucky for Khatchikian is the fact that a few of his wild hail-Mary uppercuts diving in from outside happen to land quasi-flush, probably edging him the round.

Signani pressing forward in spurts, pausing to cross his arms so that Khatchikian's spray of jabs and looping rights bounce off them harmlessly, then pluckily blazing a trail behind an inclined jab and up-n-over right.
