Will that fight happen?

    Current rankings:

    WBO - Wardley Champ
Rank 1 - Itauma - fighting Franklin in Jan, wont be fighting to at least June/July
    Rank 2 - Hrgovic

Since the Usyk fight is off for obvious reasons, Warldey must defend his belt, especially since he was "promoted" from Interim, he must defend to rank 1 challenger being Itauma who has a fight, but maybe I am wrong

Warren promotes Wardley, Itauma and Hrgovic, the goal is not to put Wardley and Itauma in the crossroads, thus Itauma going for no-name fight like Franklin despite "being next Mike Tyson"

Hrgovic isnt $$$ maker thus making him least important for Warren, and the goal should be removing Hrgovic as far away from Wardley, only way to make that is to give him a name with lots of $$$ which nobody benefits from aside from Hrgovic and Wardley

I doubt it happens. If it did, Hrgovic could win as long as he came properly in shape. However I somehow doubt he will, so who knows....

What do you think, would Hrgovic do in comparison to Parker and Huni?

He is 33, if he doesnt get active now he can retire

I hope that belt is still important to him, because I think Warren will throw $$$ his way and that would lead him astray

That would be a shame because our Country produces 1 elite heavyweight in 30 years, and we still dont have belt in heavyweight division

If the rule exist that Interim being promoted to full champ must defend against first rated challenger, he has to fight him, but I am not sure is it WBA or WBO or WBC, I know IBF doesnt have that rule

If Hrgovic was in shape this would be an easy fight, he has a great chin and more than enough skill to outbox Wardley like the others did. I think theoretically an in-shape Hrgovic is the best of the three and also matches up best against Wardley as his excellent chin should enable him to ride out the few times Wardley does actually land something big.

My main worry is that Hrgovic will gas and a gassed fighter can be stopped by sheer exhaustion/taking too many unanswered punches or even an early stoppage. Before that, he will completely outbox Wardley for large portions of the fight, similarly to Huni (or similarly to his fight vs Dubios), but can he keep going for 12 rounds?

I used to be very high on Hrgovic and even now, I still think that if he sorted out his cardio he could be one of the main players post-Usyk.

I would love to see this fight, hopefully Hrgovic can get himself into tip top shape for a world title fight.

33 is not necessarily old for a modern heavyweight.

Yeah, but he is not active, he fights no names like Adeleye, he is fighting downwards instead up in opponents
He is not honing, he is maitaining and maybe loosing (chin, endurance, power, skill)

Don't worry my dear countryman, Hrgovic will be fine, that's his way of boxing and so far he has only one loss, if the fight with Wardley happens he will do well...

    Great fight.

if Hrgovic could get in the shape necessary to fight 12 rounds like he did the first 5 or so against Adeleye, he likely wins. Wardley is not outboxing him, he’s got the chin to stand up to Wardley’s power, and if he has the stamina and sticks to a proper game plan, he could do it.

if I’m Wardley I don’t want this fight. I want someone who can help generate my first massive payday, which Hrgovic sure as **** cannot do. If I’m Wardley, I want Chisora.

    I'd like to see Wardley-Hrgovic.

But old Fish Eyes is not the kind of person who would allow Hrgovic a decent opportunity and payday. He may have him fight some journeyman on an undercard, perhaps Dacres.
