Fight was stopped after 3-4 MISSED punches. Wardley also collapsed from exhaustion after the round. It was an early stoppage.

He wasn't really defending himself though and it wasn't just out of the blue Parker took a beating at the end of the round 10 which continued on into the 11th round.

Parker didn't land a single punch back within the 40 seconds that Wardley was unloading on him in the 11th round. He also took a deep breath and sagged backed towards to rope just seconds before the stoppage.

So what if Parker was up on the cards ? That has no barring on the sustained punishment Parker was taking from a big punching 240+ pound Heavyweight.

There was still plenty of time left in the round where Parker could've got seriously hurt and Parker offered nothing back in terms of offence.

Yes there has been some dodgy British stoppages in the past but this time ? Not really for me.

My issue with that is if the shoe was on the other foot there's no way the fight would have been stopped. It's why these are referred to as "British stoppages".

Makes for an interesting fight. Neither are world beaters. So either could win.
