I think 266 is too heavy for him. He's not a massively big puncher even with the weight, should lean into his other strengths more - he'd still be a big lump 10 pounds lighter. Might help on the conditioning side also.

Agreed. Clarke couldn't miss with the jab but he just switched off at times from throwing it, had he been a bit more proactive with it, he could have shut down Wardley for longer periods. I also think he could of worked the body more, with Wardley looking out on his feet due to exhaustion at times that's when you want to target the body and tip a guy over the edge.

Yes Clarke's gas tank is suspect, there were numerous points later in the fight where he was on top and I felt he just needed to let his hands go but he simply didn't have anything left and yes maybe Wardley's body shots had something to do with it. In the rematch he has to address that, what he lacked was intensity, if he can be in better shape and up that intensity it might be a different fight.

I don't think either trouble the top 10 right now let alone the top 5. Maybe they can improve but I think neither ever trouble the top guys, maybe with their toughness and heart they can become gatekeepers but I think that's as good as it gets for them.

I can see how it was declared a draw but I thought Wardley had done enough early on to edge it,Clarkes uppercut was finding the target to easy also but both men gave there all and tbh neither deserved to lose,at least we will get to see them go again .
