Not too impressive that from Whittaker , good shift put in from Willings .

 

78-73 haha love that, Willings getting a generous showing on the cards for the shift he put in. Fair play for nicking a quarter of the rounds in a fight versus a far higher level opponent.

 

He’s from my home town that lad. Certainly didn’t disgrace himself. I imagine the nerves affected him too, he looked tired quite early on. Good experience for him.

Fair play to Willings. He ate everything that Whittaker dished out and sees the final bell.

Whittaker, even in victory, with his ' I can get him outta here any time I want' self belief, and didn't do it, will have put some negative reasoning into that ridiculous psyche of his.

Just a matter of time before he gets starched by a decent opponent.

 

Considering the level he's been operating at and the jump in level he's taken here, you've gotta be greatly impressed. Honestly would love to see him even making it to an English title eventually. He's got plenty of good things to work with, the double left hooks were working well and his shoulder roll is nifty enough.

 

Yep he'll learn heaps from that .

Looking at the LHW scene he will probably win a vacant belt at some point but will swerve the likes of Azeez and Buatsi until there is a belt on the line so we can expect these low calibre fights for a year or 2 more.

He will never face Bivol or Beterbiev and he souldn't as he gets Iced by both.

But he will get a belt at some point.
