At present I'd not confidently lean towards Hide, haven't seen enough from Wardley yet to think he'd clearly win.
Hide wasn't built for the HW division, let alone the modern SHW division of giants. Despite having good athleticism, skill, power and speed, his frame and durability couldn't ensure that he could bang with the big boys (No Diddy). Idk, just looking at how he fell apart against guys like Bowe reminds me of when Bob Foster moved up and yet he got manhandled. Sometimes your physical gifts from a lower weight just don't carry over. Wardley isn't particularly special in terms of skills or ring IQ, but the guy can hit like a truck and would be enjoying a significant edge in reach, height, strength, and durability. Plus, Wardley is dedicated to going to the body and throwing jabs. I see him breaking down the Brit within 5-7 rounds before knocking him out.
Two time WBO Champion of the World I know the WBO was not considered one of the main belts at the time but to say Herbie did nothing is laughable
Hard to say as Hide is nuts. Would be interesting to find out .wardley on stoppage after getting dropped mid rnds
