Fabio Wardley vs Justis Huni II

Spencer Brown and Eddie Hearn said that they don’t expect Wardley or his team to be interested in a rematch. Wardley is WBA Interim World Champion so I guess he will be elevated to the full champion when the belt becomes vacant and be ordered to fight the winner of Pulev vs Hunter which would be a winnable fight.

Huni should fight McKean in Australia as a comeback fight and then have a big fight on a Riyadh Season / Ring Magazine card.

 

Wardley said that he isn’t interested in a rematch, he wants to move onwards and upwards.

 

There is no way Wardley rematches

 

Huni is injured, requiring surgery and won't be fighting anyone any time soon.

 

How is this the most logical fight for both? Wardley was getting smashed up so obviously after his lucky escape he wouldn’t want to entertain it again. He’s literally guaranteed a world title shot too so it makes absolutely no sense for him.

 

Pointless rematch from a career POV, and probably even a fan one. I'd rather see Wardley fight someone in the top ten rather than see him potentially get outboxed and not pull out the win next time.

 

Wardley-Hunter is the fight.

That's an amazing matchup. Would only go a few rounds, but it'd be an entertaining slugfest while it lasted.

 

Wardley has been offered a contract with the England cricket team as wicket keeper due to his uncanny knack of not letting anything thrown at him get past him.

 

Make AJ Wardley then atleast 1 plodding stiff gets finished. Good riddance.

Wardley is British and people will desperately consider him a great fighter, he is not versatile, he is one-dimensional and relies on lucky punch, he and Huni were ranked equally and Huni looked miles better than him, of course he doesn't dare fight Huni again, he would rather lose to Kabayel or Parker than to Huni...
