I think so, but maybe not at the very elite level. He’s a great boxer but that lack of finishing power is a serious issue. I thought he’d have to much skill for Wardley and he did, but if you have to keep going 12 with the better guys because you have no power, and you combine that with having a suspect chin then you are always in danger of what happened today.

Huni can box the ears off almost any heavyweight alive. But he’s unlikely to progress past being an excellent gatekeeper because he’s too exposed to being flattened by guys with less talent but more power.

Wardley is the exact opposite. Put him in there with his limited skillset against any top guy who packs heat and he’s getting taken out too.

As for the stoppage, and I have been big on Huni from day one (and I’m an Aussie too), I’m glad it was stopped. His chin had been cracked, Wardley would have ended it quickly had the fight been allowed to continue.

Ehat you said is exactly what made it such a good matchup for fans. Exciting. As for the stoppage I doubt that. I think huni would have weathered the short storm a tired wardley would have been able to provide. We saw it earlier I think.

And for their HUGE misfortune of not being a part of this unprecedented brilliant MASSIVE tiny nation, and everything it's ever stood for, and still very much stands for when it comes to sports, music, and raw Alpha male sexual prowess ( not to mention our genuine British modesty).

To partially mitigate things, I've decided to actually buy the whole ESB RBR thread participants of this evening, and morning a round in...such is their loss at not actually being a Brit.

It's the very least I can do, squire.

Noble is my middle name, as is yours, too...

His legs would look fine if the referee would just let him stand there and not try to initiate gay sex with him

I didn’t find a single round in that fight for Wardley, not that it matters.

No, I got your point, I just disagree.

It's because it's considered unsportsmanlike even if the protest is justified, and when you do protest nothing happens which makes you look bad for no result.

Quick stoppage, should of given Huni a chance. But Huni didn't appear to care, seemed quick. Fun fight

Huni has that Aussie Rugby League mentality good on him as long as you give your all in a losing effort that is all you can ask for we have the same energy in the sheds after a game.

I thought the Kevin Lerena win would have better prepared Huni.

    What a shame that....

Still he did very well and class act in accepting defeat in the locker room. Nice chap. But I was confident Wardley would stop him.

 Very well said and, as is the British way, that's very generous of you, squire

It's just a shame they won't be able to sup on their alcoholic beverage in a traditional British boozer amongst the warmth and hospitality of God's chosen people ;)

If you don't have an iron chin and are also feather-fisted, the chances of being great are very low.

    Very true, squire.

But at least they get some symbolic essence of our very unique British-ness.

And at about 4.15am GMT that's really not bad going...
