how were these guys ranked back in the day in order of best? hagler, hearns, duran, lenoard. and was there any more competition just as good?
Haglar Leonard Hearns Duran Yes Leonard beat them all, questionably Haglar, but Haglar had much greater longevity. The other competition at the time was, Benitez, Prior, Curry, McCallum, Mugabi, etc. Those listed would have been contenders in most era's As for Leonard being pound for pound the best off all time, surely your getting him muddled up with his namesake?
This has been discussed many times and most peoples opinions differ. Duran was at his best at lightweight, SR and Hearns were Welters and Hagler was a career middle. Pound 4 pound a lot of pundits would say Duran. Head to head was obviously SR.
Have to disagree with you on the making Duran "**** and quit", Duran said "No Mas" in respect to not "fighting that clown anymore". And everyone has to remember that Duran stepped all the way up from 126 pounds to fight at super middle! And he held his own in all really apart from Hearn's fight :good
Yeah and he beat him the first time and fought a hell of a fight with Hagler :deal I just like to mess with people because as he walked back to his corner he was waddling like he had a **** in his pants
Hadnt actually noticed that! Should have known you were trying to winding people up :yep Who you picking for the weekend, JT or Kp?
