This is clearly the action of the evening. I considered Molina a threat to anyone at 140. Tough kid, excellent power. Just needs some polishing.
Mispriced odds alert! Soto has much better outside boxing ability and footwork, throws straighter punches, is more experienced, and has been more successful at top level. But he's a +275 underdog! Molina was handily outboxed by Honorio, Klimov, Lundy, and Bey, and there's no reason Soto won't do the same. He's also smarter than guys like Lundy and Bey and won't stand and trade. I expect Soto to control the bout and pick Molina off as he wades in and throws wide, slow punches. I do worry judges could favour Molina's aggression even if it's clueless aggression, and possibly that Molina's strength and power could wear down Soto by the later rounds and give Molina a chance. But at the odds Soto's a great bet. If he wins I can afford to watch the ppv!
Soto is going to teach this kid a lesson Soto is a tough, strong accurate puncher. There's a reason why Soto was avoided by many fighters. Manny Pacquiao avoided Soto for years Edwin Valero also avoided Soto MAB avoided Soto EM avoided Soto JMM avoided Soto Robert Guerrero avoided Soto Khan avoided Soto the only big names that fought Soto where Joan Guzman and Lucas Matthysse and both cheated their way, to beat Soto, otherwise, Soto would've KO'd both Guzman and Matthysse. .
It's been a while since I watched those fights, how did they cheat? Also does anyone know what time this fight starts?
Both of them wanted to smile. I wonder who will be smiling after the fight? Soto might be too small for 140, but I'll go with the vet.
