    lets be real here if Hatton is p4p#1 if he beats Pac then Tarver was p4p#1 when he beat Roy Jones.

    My opinion is because people can't get the Mayweather fight out of their heads. None of the guys (Hopkins, or Jones) had suffered a KO loss when they became #1. Pac-man has been KOed before(twice) and is the current #1. The only difference is those incidents were so long ago and he didn't have his current trainer, who has transformed him into a minature monster. His popularity doesn't hurt him either. If Pacquio loses and Marquez loses to Mayweather, then we know who the top dog would be once again. This would probably be the 1st time in boxing history that a fighter has regained #1 P4P status without a loss.;)
