I wouldn't call him the biggest coward ever, but I would be really dissapointed if he didn't come out of retirement to face the winner of Cotto-Margarito.

As much as I hate Floyd Mayweather ( mainly becasue of his mouth and unprofessionalism), it cannot be denied that he has been one of the greatest talents of our era. Perhaps the greatest boxing talent ever to walk among mortals.

It would be very hard for me to consider any boxer , a coward.
Any fighter brave enough to step into a ring for 12 rounds of war with another professional fighter is FAR from a coward, given that men do die in the ring and/or are crippled/handicapped for life thereafter, at times.

Boxing is business and I know that if I were taking shots to the head from other professional fighters, I'd want the most money I could get for doing so, especially knowing that retirement could come in the form of brain damage.

At1, from having sparred with Floyd what is the reason you think he retired? Do you believe, 1) It was Hoya related (either fear of being beaten, money issues, don't want to align against Dad) or 2) Does not want to loose to Cotto?

If you pick 2 what is your professional opinion on what he has to win against Cotto and what Cotto has to win against him?

Just curious, not everyday I get to ask questions of someone who got in the ring against both Hoya and PBF. :good

 

hmm yea, i'm also curious:think at1 has no respect for floyd even though he's been with him in the ring. His opinion differs from us because we're just fans who've never been with floyd or oscar, but i think somethings up, i mean usually fighters respect each other more so even if they've experience sparring with each other
