In the early days, he was developing and he was most certainly drained - physique wise he was extremely ripped and he used to brag about how his body fat was like 0. something.

Also, the way in which a person is built does tell a story. Look at Garcia and look at Khan from the neck up. Khan's has quite a scrawny neck with a defined face, in comparison to Garcia who's face looks part of his neck. You can tell he's solidly built and which is another reason why he has such an excellent chin.

Bone density and such also comes into it - Amir is a skinny dude. But that stuff is genetics, which Amir can't obviously control. With the punches from Prescott and Garcia, he just didn't see them and from personal sparring, I know how it feels to get hit with shots you don't see.

There's nothing in what I said that shouts excuse. If you don't know about the science of the body and how punches you don't see can hurt, then that's your problem.

FYI, the primary reason he lost is because of what Garcia did and Amir's own flaws. Other factors, like I said, genetics, are uncontrollable. I don't need to make any excuses for Amir.
