Both Wvlad and Chagev have class. Chagev also has heart to take this fight on such short notice. Haye is just a smack talking fool. The sport needs fewer people like him.
I'm not a fan of Wlad but I respect him. He's the classiest guy in the division if not the entire sport.
Although they had a keen interest in solving June the 20th I am also very happy by the way they managed this situation. Very professional and not "a la King"! He would have come we a Golota kind of replacement :yep. Wlad but also Vit, have demonstrated that they want and would fight only the best possible fighters out there (Peter, Gomez, Arreola, Haye, Povetkin). For Chagaev, the champion in recess, this fight is the only possiblity to remain on the surface, as there will not probably be any other chances with Valuev in the future. His only merit is that he now has to fight the real champ ...
I'm glad he's fighting Chagaev. The only thing Haye has on Chagaev is flashiness. Chagaev is better fighter and better challenge for Wlad hands down.
Wlad can be a classy guy sometimes. His sprring partners are staying at a 5 star hotel and they eat what they want.Haye once put Monte Barret in a rubbish hotel and gave him a £20 daily budget for food. That was crappy, moreover he flew the guy economy. In terms of styles I prefer Haye but Wlad does what he does to win nd you cant blame him.The only bad thing was the slavecontract the gave to Haye.I think the injury Haye sustained is very suspicious and if a second opinion was to be sought we would find there is no injury.Adam was not satisfactory in answering Steve Buncey. The cancellation could be more because of Setanta's going concern problems
and i'm curious what all these people will say after wlad destroys ruslan? "haye should have been the guy wlad fights, or he should be the next guy"....haye will come hungry as a wolf in a chicken coup when he fights wlad.
I still want Wlad to fight Haye later, but I think first we got the mandatorys like Povetkin to be beaten. Perhaps Haye can beat some of them in the meantime to put himself in a better position.
You can say exactly the same thing about Haye. Well, without the credibility part. But as soon as Haye beats a few more guys (a ranked one if possible), the demands for this fight will grow beyond astronomical proportions..... of course, the chance of Wlad still not having lost after fighting Chagaev and Povetkin (mandatory before nov. 2009) is 50/50 or so, but still.
I think a lot of the Haye fans know deep down that he blew his shot and now that he will be forced to fight and earn his way that he will lose along the way before he gets Wlad and probably by KO.
