As a betting man I see a lot of value in betting against returning champions, because many people bet on their old heroes. But older, slower, fatter and out of shape heroes almost always lose to fighters they would have destroyd in their prime.

    Examples:
    Muhammed Ali vs Larry Holmes
    Mike Tyson vs Kevin McBride
    Joe Frazier vs Jumbo Cummings
Oscar de la Hoya vs Manny Paquiao
    Ray Leonard vs Hector Camacho

So, you who haven´t all ready picked up on this, follow my advise. You´ll make a lot of money betting the other way. People don´t bet with their brains, they bet with their hearts. :good

Ali vs. Holmes was the worst. After watching that fight I couldn't conceive of how his trainers and sparring partners never got around to telling him that he was shot. I mean, Ali has literally noting left for that fight. He would have been beaten by a club fighter on that night.

Over 20 wins and just 3 losses after the Tyson defeat (which was his 3rd loss in a row). He didn't do too bad IMO mate.

The only reason Trinidad took that fight was because of money.

Maybe so, but it was still a failed comeback.
