Does anyone have a history of failed drugs tests in boxing for performance enhancers? i know know of a few and all post 2000 and others in the past?
He and Richard Hall both took ripped fuel and failed their post fight test. He basically took a fat burner.
They failed for taking Andro, a prohormone that was legal at the time but banned by the athletic commision. Roy stated he took ripped fuel which wasnt supposed to have Andro in it but they did find a lot of supplements even after the ban still had andro in them off label so its entirely plausible. Toney and Vargas both tested positive for actual steroids. Tyson tested positive for marijuana, I think it was after the golota fight so his win was changed to a NC. Tyson had a very good point in his documentary, they completely ****ed him over, he had to pay a $100,000 fine for testing positive for marijuana which is absolutely ludicris when James Toney only paid a $10,000 fine for testing positive for steroids.
These are all recent but hey ho Dawson failed a test (weed) Chavez JR failed one Guzman failed one, as did Funeka Briggs failed one RJJ Toney Vernon Paris also failed one recently
Wow that is some bulshitt what the hell is pot going to give you slower reflexes, Not remembering your training as well? And toney has been caught twice now why is he still getting liscenced to fight?
Contrary to what many seem to think, Shane Mosley has never failed a drug test, but did admit to having used EPO for his rematch with Oscar De La Hoya in 2003. Tommy Morrison has also admitted to having used steroids during his career. Other fighters who failed post-fight drug tests have been: Frans Botha Tony Tubbs Mike Tyson Chad Dawson Ali Funeka James Toney (twice) Stevie Johnston Michael Trabant Orlando Salido Roy Jones Richard Hall Fernando Vargas Timo Hoffman Vitali Klitschko (as amateur) Danny Batchelder Pernell Whitaker Mariano Carrera Joey Gilbert Greg Haugen Shannon Briggs Plus plenty more I can't think of at the moment.
