Hard to believe he went from knocking out Michael Grant (himself a massive hype job) to losing almost every single round for the rest of his career and becoming a guy that you saw entering the ring and groaned "aw, ****, here comes 10 or 12 rounds of boring negative BS..."

You've clearly never watched Guinn, there is no comparison, he makes Hopkins and Rigondeaux seem like Gatti and Duran.

Also, though he ultimately did succeed, Nate Campbell is a guy that I thought would experience a more consistent trajectory up the ranks than what ultimately took place.

Yeah, being a Galaxxxy Warrior fan was a frustratingly herky-jerky ride...never more so than when he went full dodo against Peden. :shakehead:

I mentioned Guinn earlier in this thread (along with Kevin Johnson). I forgot who he’d just beaten - Duncan Dokiwari or Friday some-African-name, and Larry Merchant said he was the most talented American heavyweight since Riddick Bowe. At the time it sounded right.

Peter, like Ibeabuchi, are mentally unstable. Obviously, Peter not as bad but many of these big fighters out of Africa seem messed up. It's like they can't handle the transition from Alpha male in their home country to commodity in the world market.
