Damn he really didn't take that loss to Abril well at all. I mean, it wasn't like he got brutally KTFO and had a life altering come to Jesus moment, he just got out outslicked by a featherfisted pain in the ass. Who knew that would be enough to take his soul.

Ibeabuchi. That is a guy that i expected to dominate the hw division for a decade and it never happened. Other than that im not a hype guy. I like my fighters to prove it before i start hyping them. I guess the one guy im hyping now is Crawford. I think he can clean out the WW division.

I'm not kidding, he's literally the worst person on my timeline, by FAR.

He used to re-post, on a daily basis (until he probably got reported too many times) every gory disgusting video he could find ...depicting child or animal cruelty; or random camouflaged soldiers or threadbare guerrillas screaming in Russian or Arabic while beheading each other; or creepy shit like dirty old men in African villages running around sexually assaulting, pinching, and spanking every attractive young women they could find while onlookers cheered, laughed and whistled. Just weird shit for a grown-up (pro athlete no less!) to be constantly fascinated by, that gives you an insight to what a junior-high mentality Sharif has. You'd think he was a third of his age.

When he isn't sharing the above stomach-turning content, which thankfully is hardly ever anymore, his own posts consist of either unoriginal, wrong/stupid boxing opinions and clichéd e-proselytizing drivel. (quotes from the Quran with no context, things about how anybody that isn't a Muslim is trash, how women ought to subjugate themselves and be grateful, how whitey is the devil, etc.)

I want to see him KTFO so badly.

Failure is relative to hype, so many/most of you guys:

Ismayl Sillakh, Robert Helenius, and Artur Beterbiev

Nah, I know. It's not like I think he sucks or anything close. He just is the definition of overhyped, as of now at least.

Just the amount of folks who proclaimed him the immediate future, well, years ago, was undeniably large and vocal. High claims, too.

Speaking of Shay, he's another longtime FB pal of mine, except unlike with Bogere we really are friendly - have interacted, at length in fact, and had in-depth conversations about the sport and other stuff.

I've long been a supporter of his, since way before he linked up with Mayweather (and before we even became internet buds, to be honest - going all the way back to when he was on The Contender) and have always defended him against the constant accusations of being a "boring" fighter (he can be, no doubt - but it depends largely on the dance partner. He can also be in good fights) or that he was some bottom of the barrel type among the weakest paper titlists of all time (not even close. By championship standards yes he's mediocre at best, and he's definitely an overachiever whom you wouldn't have been stupid to guess years ago would never hold a belt - and yet he isn't even close to any of the worst p4p to ever bear the distinction) - and he continues to be underrated today, even by knowledgeable folk, same as ever.

Nobody looks "great" against Smith. Just ask Carlos Molina (before he stunk), or Erislandy Lara, or Vanes Martirosyan. A competitive decision victory - even with a couple of rough patches - over Smith ought not drag Williams' stock down too much in the least, just IMO.

Clarification: yes, Molina has always stunk, aesthetically, but he also used to be a world-class spoiler, and not the hard-used gatekeeper now being passed around by fringe contenders.

Oh definitely, no one looks good against him, I was expecting that, it was just the being rocked a few times aspect that bothered me. As tricky as Ishe is, he's not the most heavy handed guy, Julian shouldn't have been rocked once, much less 3 or 4 times by him, by the way, it wasn't obvious, he hid it well, but those perceptive enough, like you and I, can easily spot it.

Failed fighter probably isn't the right heading. Guys who didn't pan out like we expected sure.

Williams has time to show us what he can still blossom into, if anything. Wasn't impressed with Khytrov. After hearing the hype from some on this forum, I was extremely disappointed with him vs Aleem. Figured Aleem would be a showcase type guy for him.

Yeah that's fair - he's a pretty light hitter, but he also knows how and when to make the most of what he does have and throw his punches hard enough to make a foe's vision a little cottony if they're slugging it out in the deep trenches. Most of his stuff is just a shoeshine flutter meant to point-score, because I think he knows he isn't blessed with natural pop, but once he lulls someone into a close-quarters firefight he sits down on his shots and can be deceptively hurtful with them (especially in accumulation). He also has a good enough chin himself (and shot-riding ability) to never pay for this strategy, even when brawling with much bigger punchers.

I also might hold Danny Jacobs' durability in higher esteem than you do.

I thought Dominic Guinn, and then later, Kevin Johnson would be serious threats, if not outright champs, in the heavyweight division.
