99% of us on here have our favorite fighters that we defend to the end. Opposite that, we all have fighters we dont like for whatever reason and look for ways to be critical of that fighter no matter what.

So I thought it would be interesting to see others here fairly criticize their favorite fighter. And I mean legit criticism.

I'll start with GGG. He is currently my favorit fighter and he is one of the fighters here that has very definite lines of like/dislike.

My criticism of GGG is the way he and his team handled his mandatory status. He complained however rightly so that no one would fight him, yet he held a mandatory status for years and failed to enforce. He took step asides on at least 4 different occasions. So that to me is entirely on him and K2. I am not sure what was to gain by all of this esp after the first step aside. I believe he would be in a much better position today had he enforced his first mandatory against Segio years ago.

Any other takers want to give an honest criticism of their favorite fighter?

Good thread, and fair point about GGG.

Thanks--I believe it to be a legit criticism of GGG/K2. I had tweeted years ago directly @K2 that they should ENFORCE THE MANDATORY!! several times--haha. while i am sure that my several tweets meant squat to them, i did at least give my opinion directly to them in the form most available to me(twitter)

    Loma and Floyd.

Floyd was never willing to do what it took to get a fight made when it mattered most to the fans and not just his pocketbook(not just the pacquaio)

Loma: picking on smaller guys that’s twice he’s fought a guy coming up in weight in a row at that. Someone with his talent level should take risk just like Floyd should have

Noted about Loma, but probably not entirely his fault, he is avoided and for good reason lol, I'm just glad he stays active. But I hear you, if he can't get what he wants at 130, I hope he fought the champs at 135.
Now, I like Loma as well, but i don't like showboating at all.
He is that good, I wish he would sit on his punches more and scores clean knock out.

    Sounds like me.:sisi1

As far as the thread goes, Kovalev needs to learn how to defend against body shots, and work on his goddamn cardio a little.

GGG, he needs to watch his amateur fights and remember that he got were he is now because of those fundamentals, he is becoming too gun shy and he stopped targeting the body.
Lomachenko, he needs to stop cruising during fights so much, at a certain point the other fighter is doing nothing and he is isn't doing much either, he needs to start punishing some opponents.

Already retired but JMM is my favorite fighter.

When he was active, I thought he was a little bit of a cry baby everytime he wouldn’t get the decision. Thought he needed to chill out more.

Pacquiao should(‘ve) stop targeting Mayweather! You lost man, get over it!
