lol.....I would say this is a bigger challenge than Calzaghe fighting Kessler in his backgarden in front of 60,000

Fighting a quality Yank in his back yard.

Taylor is top quality. Remember Calzaghes best /most credible win was vs a 43 year old B Hop. Taylor has 2 wins vs a 39 year old Bhop.

Shows you what Froch is up against.

I Have all the respect in the world for the HAttons, Hayes, Frochs.

They dont hide behind meaningless belts in their backyards.

    ITS CALLED AMBITION

I thought that was more of a stamina problem than a chin problem.

Pavlik has more power than Froch; and that's not saying much.

I know should be much higher than that. Froch beats Taylor, he will beat Bute, Taylor is a better fighter than Bute. I am happy for Froch to want to fight Bute, but i really wanted to see him fighting Kessler, but no worries, hes going to champ for a long time!

Pavlik has power that is very good at least, but more importantly, he is precise and he throws and lands a lot during the fight. This is what makes him very effective. Froch might have more power, but he's not as effective as Pavlik...

Aye...that and the lack of an inside game...Bute's trainer also mentioned something about some tests they did after the fight that suggested Bute had a "temporary physiological problem" :huh...and that he'll talk more about that after the Bute v. Andrade rematch...

    :conf

    ...bull**** excuse? Who knows...we'll see...

Also the fact that Pavlik is a work horse and sets up his power shots with his jab, which is what wore Taylor down and made him pay.

Most of the time Froch is head hunting, looking to land one big punch. He has an OK jab but it's not anything to write home about. He throws very little in the way of combinations.

i've seen bute's last dozen fights, at least and have seen him really shy away from action for several minutes of the fight after getting cleanly hit. he is a good defensive boxer, he's quick so he doesn't get hit flush very often...and for that he has the due respect, but aside from bika, who did hurt him despite fighting an awful tactical fight, bute has not spent much time in against world class punchers.

Yes . You're partly right. Taylor does have a chance.

Taylor has , IMO, a 65 % chance of beating Froch.

    Butte has only a 60 % chance.

Let's see -- Taylor fought Hopkins X 2, Winky, and Pavlik X 2 in the span of about 2 1/2 years, but he won't fight Bute or Kessler? That's ridiculous.

The crowd does provide some advantage, but it's less important in the big scheme of things than the opponent.

    28 year-old Kessler was a tougher challenge for 35 year-old Calzaghe than
    30 year-old Taylor is for 31 year-old Froch.

Kessler had more power and a better chin, and was tougher mentally than Taylor.

And despite all that, Froch is probably going to lose to Taylor.
