To be honest I have always been dismissive of Carl especially being a Calzagh Fan , but having sat down & really looked at it I have to take my hat of to him. He has always been the "poor relative" in this country & has lived in Calzaghe's shadow but you have to hand it to him he shown balls by taking a fight against a big american name in JT's backyard. I really hate to admit it but to make it you have to go to the states & prove yourself in this game... Now whether he can go their & beat Taylor is open to debate but personally what he lacks in Jermaines skill dept he over compensates for with strength & power & I really think he will brake the americans heart in about the 8th. All in all this a great fight for boxing fans & on another note it is absolutely disgusting that it is'nt be shown in the uk......Maybe Carl would be right if he boycotted this country if he goes on to bigger & better things.
Yes mate totally agree. One thing though how would he boycotte the UK? I was thinking of this the other day. Whats he gonna do, force Showtime or HBO not to do a deal with Sky/Setanta? Surely they wouldnt go for that would they ?
I know what your saying....Maybe he will ste him self up as an American/Canadian based fighter & only deal with HBO or Showtime. If he beats Taylor well Im sure he'll be able to secure some kind of American based deal. From his point of view that would be fair enough but for genuine british fight fans it would be a ****ing disaster.......atsch I know it comes down to connections in the promoting world but what really pisses me off is the attention someone like Khan gets as a pose to Carl , Like I have said I have'nt always been a fan of Frochs but now I really hope he does the job & proves alot of people wrong....
Yeah me too. And I agree it will be a disaster but I wouldnt worry about it mate coz if his profile does go up in the states/Uk as it surely must if he wins. Then Bunce will be inundated with calls/requests to get his next fight which surely he couldnt and wouldn't stop. Showtime wont say to him "Yeah ok Carl I know your pissed they never showed your last fight so i'll tell you what.. we'll not give then the rights even if they give us the $millions"

Problem is I cant remember who I lent it to !!!!!.....:-( Really looking forward to that Froch fight , The problem is most of my friends are casual fans & only take notice if someone like Hatton is fighting so I can only yap about it to lads online.....My missus thinks Im a ****ing cyber nerd....:rofl
