not only on the excellent victory but for something even more brilliant touching gloves with Chisora after he fooled him playing possum at the end of the 9th or 10th round. :!: he looked into Chisora's eyes and mentioned something when the bell sounded, but the respect was beaming out of his eyes. They both touched gloves at the end of several rounds after some good punches were landed a matter of seconds before. Love good British sportsmanship like that so well done fellas. Shows Haye + co that walking round thinking you're god's gift and talking so disrespectfully about your opponents doesn't run right through the game.
Yeah fantastic stuff tonight. A right proper British title fight. One Our Sir Henry would of liked god bless his soul.
Just a great night for boxing, the build up, the ring walks, the fight itself & the post fight interviews. Boxing isnt dead or dying
:yep I remember when i first joined here and there was a lot of that talk on the boards and in the sport in general. Many of the people in the sport (fighters/promoters/tv/media/fans) have helped the sport get back on track. Were not there totally and may never sadly reach the great days of yesteryear but Boxing's picked up of late IMO. Major reason because fighters are starting to fight each other. The rest takes care of it's self. Keep the major fights domestically and world wide coming!
I'm arguing with A bloke on Spencers page who's actually now trying to say that Fury is Britains first heavyweight champ????
I just wish Fury had a better promoter. Him with W*rren could be very fun but, sadly, he's going to have his career badly hurt by being with Hennessy. I like Fury a lot though. Terrific character.
I lost a painful amount of £ on Fury not winning inside the distance but I could not care less We've been very lucky with the quality of the domestic fights this year & people will always look back with rose tinted glasses at the past. Boxing has been in decline since the 20's but will always produce memorable characters, fights, rivalries & eras. I love boxing & congratualtions to Fury, I couldnt be happier
I would argue that Hennessy is actually better for Fury than Wrren would be His fights & promotion seem more real & less polished than Mr.W's but I genuinely love Tyson (no homo) & relate more to that. Hennessy does a lot of work outside the UK so he might not be doing as bad a job as you think. Tyson may outgrow big Mick, he might not. Either way we will be guaranteed entertainment we may never see if Fwank extends his evil grasp around Tyson. Tonight I found Jesus
yeah he showed a lot of humilty and respect to Chisora for his aggression tonight, before he even knew he was winning. fair play, Chisora gave it back for the good fight Fury was fighting. it was great to watch such great sportsmanship in between such a good scrap. Haye and Booth take note!! (both the fight and the humility)
