Hi guys, that´s my first post here in esb,im a 16 teen of brazil,so sorry for my poor english.I make this thread to show the biggest problem in the boxing of brazil, i know the real boxers of here aren´t not realy that good , but in the past few years there is a wave of fake boxers of here, that are given problems for the reputation of the real boxers.Basicaly, they use a website(boxrec) to create false undeafeated records and put regular guys to get destroyed in europe, and most them just trown themselves on canvas in few seconds.there is a huge list of guys who doesn´t even have a register at cbboxe(brazilian boxing confederation) and have a lot wins which just exist at boxrec, i will say a few guys, for you get your eyes open about this type of record, with you see a similar record of this guys...is probaly a fake one.
Marcelo Leandro Da Silva(who got stopped by hugo garay with only one punch), Wellington de Jesus,Luzimar Gonzaga,Idiozan Matos,Carlos de Jesus,Roberto oliveira de jesus,Roberto Santos, but there is a lot of other fighters who a didn´t remember the name now.
watch this video bellow to see what type of effort this fake boxers put against his opponents.

But if you want to know who are the real boxers of brazil,i can say, there is just a few guys who actualy know to box a bit here in my country, but i think patrick teixeira is a good prospect, and isaac rodrigues and josenilson dos santos are at least decent fighters, thanks for your time guys.

So basically what you are saying is that most of the boxers in your country have padded records, filled with lots of no-talent boxers (commonly called bums, stiffs or tomato cans).

Are you alleging that the fights are outright "fixed" as well, or just that the boxers that are used as "opponents" are utterly incompetent?

The fact is that boxing is nowhere near as glamorous as BJJ/vale tudo/MMA in Brazil. Any promising young combat athletes are more apt to go into those sports instead (by choice or pushed into them)...or even kickboxing, more than the sweet science.

I tend to agree with marcelocrb although I'm not Brazilian but I remember Marcelo Da Silva :rofl. He lost to Hugo Garay and Dawid Kostecki by KO/TKO (don't remember exactly) just from the first thrown/landed (who knows :hey) punch on him. Here is his 'fight' against Hugo Garay:

    BTW
marcelocrb - is Da Silva a very popular surname in Brazil :huh:think ?

yeah, silva is a very popular surname in brazil rsrs, but i think is more popular in the population of fighters than in the rest of people, even in mma there is anderson silva, wanderley silva, thiago silva( OH MY GOD,where is the creativity of this people?!rs)

I thought he was talking about how the fighters in Brazil fought opponents who had no real record - when what he was talking about were the fighters themselves fighting no one. Missed a phrase, I guess.

And yeah, I can't wait til Khan gets starched again either! However, you can count on his management to keep him fighting light-hitters as long as possible.
