Well i eat a lot of this from the more well known brands to the lesser.

I was looking at the fat/protein etc on the packet........1 sausage was 7.9 g of protien and 5.? of fat, 0.2 was unsaturated.

Im not shocked, i know theres all kinds of sugar or whatever in them to appeal/be tasty.

Anyways, i love all the fake meat products generally. Loaded with spices yeah but now i am thinking, hmm this **** aint good for me.

    Anyone eat/like/dislike these products ?

    Cheers

P.S. I eaten this stuff for years.

I've eaten that stuff for years as well. Why would you think it's bad for you? It's soy protein and vegetables. The ones I eat have less than one gram of sugar and is loaded with vitamins.

Attempting to eliminate fat from the diet is a silly modern preoccupation not based on science. Humans need a bit of fat, although many people get more than they need. Back in the old days boxers were almost vegetarian because they had to make weight and radical dehydration was not an option.

I still say go Vegetarian your head feels a lot clearer. Nutritionally, vegetarian meat isn't any much different than its original substrate (soy protein mostly). Most of it is just patented food technology, why would you say its bad?

Maybe a wrong choice of words, nothing makes me more happier than stuffing maself full of this stuff.

Maybe what i meant was, i can eat 2 packs of sausages etc with lunch for example, 2 packs of them and a bag of steamed veg......

12 vegi sausages cant be good for me, is kinda what i meant.....

eg, its veggi so you can eat a ton of it ?

    Cheers

It's not sausage though. It's just soy and vegetables. Sodium content is probably the one thing that could possibly be bad in those. Just find a brand that isn't too bad.

are you talking about processed meats and veggies mixed with process meat. If you are any sort of processed meat is not good for you, sausages are processed and therefor not the best for you. Eating sausages every now and then is ok but there is no way i would eat them all the time. Sausages arnt even meat there rubbish really.

Eating meat is still a status symbol. It is a legacy from the past when only wealthy people could afford it.

    :huh

    Me ?

Im talking about FAKE meat " vegetarian "

The thread title actually is wrongfully worded....should be Fake "Meaty" Food

    Hope this helps

Whaa i wanna know is, can i have a banquet of fake bacon sausage etc nut cutlets every night ? Compared to the 1 of each i would have if it was "real" meat (lean)

If its just veg and soy then with my training, eating stupid amounts of veggie foods, wont matter ?
