Butterbean was technically responsible both on offense and defense. Compare him to a Tony Galento or any of the Italiante (hot-blooded) fighters. Worlds apart.

Willard had a broken jaw and a concussion and there was no chance in hell of him coming back against Dempsey

I've watched Butterbean get picked apart by any semi competent 1-2

    Maybe Willard

He beats them all in MMA though, more submission wins than knockouts!

He was fine the next day. He drove he and his wife on 1919 bumpy roads with 1919 almost non-existent suspension all the way to Chicago two days later. He quit. And he quit against Joe Cox. And he would quit under the heat of a prime Butterbean.
