hopkins at 4 but no calzaghe in the 30 when calzaghe did beat him and whether you want to admit it or not he was not shot when he fought calzaghe as his most recent performances have shown...... most of the rest of the list is ok I would have srl at #1
I would also swap mab and Erik m also maybe not have floyd so high but other than that it's not bad

before you come all at me.

the reason why I have Tito so high is because he is myfavorite boxer of all time.

the reason why I have Tyson higher than lennox and evander who beat him, is because Tyson in his prime was one of the if no the most exciting person ever and in a p4p sense, would Tyson have been taller and bigger, and had longer reach he definitly would have beat both lewis and holyfield!

    Sugar was fast
    Sugar had great defence
    Sugar had great reflexes
Sugar was good at frustrating opponents

    Floyd is fast
Floyd has the best defence ever
    Floyd has cat like reflexes
Floyd frustrates his opponents better than anybody (aside from RJJ or Pernell)

Sugar beat Duran, because of the 4 mentioned skill sets and Floyd would do the same.

i dont deny that he had a good cruiser career but not great...most others can add longevity to their resume...I have trouble ranking a guy in the top 30 when he hasnt fought the best in each weight class clearly cunningham was who he should have fought...i know haye cant predict who is good and who is overrated...but he really hasn't beaten any one of note...lost to carl thompson....corner threw the towel...haye was close to out...he has beaten who he should beat (ie. way past it ruiz and barrett, clumsy and slow valuev, enzo has been exposed) mormeck is a good win but that doesnt make him top 30!

p.s. i apoliogize for bringing SNV into this....not a classy move i know

you are right on the cunningham point. but at the time mormeck was the guy too beat, the sheriff in the division. what impresses me with haye, is how he is roling over his opponents. I mean fragnomeni, nor mormeck were bad, but haye destroyed the. than moving too the heavyweights and being not far of koing sugar, who is well known as iron chinned mega head impressed me much. haye my not have the boxing IQ of adamek or the skills of juan carlos gomez, but somehow I favor him over both. I might be wrong, but thats how I feel it.

yes but rankings should be mostly based on accomplishments and mayweathers vanish like snow in hell when we compare it to Duran, otherwise it is possible to rank hearns over duran as well he beat him after all?

when I do rankings, I am not much of the typical ranker. I rank based on accomplishments + record + skills. I tend too focus more on skills and record. duran wasn't by far in his favorite weight class when he fought much taller hearns and would duran have been in his prime and 6 feet tall it probably would have been a different outcome. also I am not a big fan of Boxer of the past who fought hundreds of opponents with record of 5 wins 9 losses 2 draws like it often was the case in the past, no matter if it is chavez or duran. for me a boxer doesn't have too fight bad opponents, when it is clear he is much superior too them, so 2-4 good opponents a year is enough and mayweather very well did this, along with winning them all. even through durans had more wins and accomplished more, 16 loses are 16 loses and beatin corrales, castillo, marquez, de la hoya, mosley, judah and hatton and having 0 losses is damn impressiv too me.

Durans reign at lightwight and the montreal win alone outrank anything mayweatehr has ever done, dont get me wrong I get why people favour mayweather at 147 but that wasnt durans best weight either.
Everything he did after montreal was just bonus. you cant say ali was a lesser heavy then marciano just because he had more losses. Durans wins over opposition are much more impressive then floyds, Floyds good wins were corrales, castillo (he lost), oscar was a good win, mosley was 38, hatton was a 140 guy at 147, judah was a good win, marquez doesnt even count man.
Lets say duran retires after leonard 3 when he was 85-8-0 against that opposition way out of his ideal weightclass.and 38 years old. How is that not impressive? he isd either 1/2 of the last 30 years depending if you rank leonard above him.
