Of course we know every fighter and corner adjusts for a lengthy fight, but just for the subject matter here are a few more.

Benny 'Kid' Paret retains his title on a 12 round draw with Emile Griffith
Romeo Anaya retains his bantamweight title against Arnold Taylor
Alfonso Lopez retains his flyweight title against Guty Espadas

Yes. You wrote UD. It would have been a majority decision.

Maidana would have battered Khan out of there. He was out on his feet for two rounds.

Same thing with Juan Manual Lopez against Agbeko.

Wasn't there something like 30 seconds left in the 15th when Jake won by KO?

They would most likely react differently knowing it was 12 rounds

One that I think would likely change is Mike Weaver-John Tate. It's not like Weaver suddenly picked up the pace a whole lot and decided to launch a last ditch attack. Tate got sloppy, went to the ropes, Weaver unleashed a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.

I wouldn't count on that happening in the 12th round of a scheduled 12 rounder

When I pointed out to you that Jack Johnson was well in the lead at the 20round stage with Jess Willard and ,had it been a 20 rds fight he would have gotten the decision you replied Willard would have fought a different fight over the shorter distance.Don't you think that might apply here?lol

You can't mess with the space/time continuum and assume if you change on aspect that all others stay the same.

None of this is necessarily true. Fighters know the rules when they enter a given fight. They step on the gas at a given point because they know that they can't wait any longer. Dundee doesn't say "You're blowing it, son" after a fight is finished, he says it when it becomes true. Fighters know they are fighting 12 or 15. Applying this logic doesn't work.

    DelaHoya/Trinidad

Oscar always had suspect stamina. That gameplan that he had expended a lot of energy. He was tired after 8 and looked like he was out of steam towards the end. Hence Trinidad dominating the last 1/3rd of the fight.

The question is what happens if he has to go 3 more rounds. No doubt Tito was strong with endless endurance. I think Oscar either stands and fights and probably gets stopped or quits on his stool.
