muhammad ali beat the **** out of ingemar johannson when he was a rookie and ingo was training for the patterson rubber match. it was so embarassing his training pulled him out after/during the second round. ali said "it should be me fighting the champ!"

Holmes took some pretty major sparring abuse off of Ali also I think.

Recently we've got Lara and Valero beating up on Hatton and Oscar.

 

There's Spadafora and Mayweather, and Tyson getting dropped by a sparring partner.

 

oh yeah tyson got dropped by greg page and given hell by mccall but they weren't beatdowns. he just didn't take the sessions seriously and got caught

the spadafora/mayweather footage was compelling BUT most of the time, the clips omit the first half of the session where mayweather takes it to paul before running out of steam

 

Yeah, I was about to mention the McCall one, too. He took him apart with those bodyshots and looked like McCall was wearing some kind of padding around his middle.
