Holyfield gladly got into the ring with Iron Mike not once but 2x , and even went at it with Foreman who could have easily put his lights out with 1 punch . I very much doubt Holyfield would be discouraged by G mans power , especially in a sparring session . Not saying you lying or anything . Its Just hard to believe .
Pretty sure he didn't drop Kessler.. I've been watching Kessler spar regularly for years but never did i see nor hear about Kessler getting dropped by Groves. Don't think he could drop Golovkin with headgear either, but i don't know..
I heard Jeff Fenech and Roger Mayweather would get into heated sparring sessions back then. Barrera in his prime schooling Chico Corrales, Naz getting dropped by a heavyweight, then jumping back up to break the dude's nose. The Monzon-Frazier sparring is pretty insane too. Hearns-McClellan was pretty good as was Tua-Holyfield. Gotta remember, there are fighters that DO fight how they spar, Frazier once admitted to that, while others don't.
Sherman Williams dropped Wladimir thrice this year in sparring for the Leapai fight (bron: the tank himself)
Davarryll "TOUCH OF SLEEP" Williamson made IRON Mike Tyson quit in sparring. This was mentioned in Tyson's book; yet Tyson did not mention any names. Tyson said it was an undisclosed amatuer heavyweight.
You know as well as I do Ruiz was considered a joke until Roy Jones challenged him then he suddenly became a legit world champ lol I was there when Ruiz earned his Oscar for acting fake low blows in the fight with Kirk Johnson. I sat with Kirk & watched a tape of that fight & slo mo'd the supposed low blows. Ruiz had nothing but acting ability & crooked Joe Cortez obliged him by DQ'ing Kirk Ruiz should have been named John The Limpet Ruiz coz that's all he did
Danny williams knocked out Clifford Ettienne and Sherman Williams in camp for Tyson. Also KO'd Maskaev while training at gleeson's.
