There's conflicting stories about Herol Graham/Eubank.

But lts face it, if you get two world class fighters sparring they're gonna do damage to each other at some point.

Also if you like gym wars theres the infamous Danny Green-James Toney scrap. It should still be on youtube.

Doug Fisher(or maybe it was Steve Kim) said that Tony Tubbs used to beat up on both of the Klitschko brothers in sparring.

 

tony tubbs is the most underrated heavyweight of the 80s. BRILLIANT fighter who had the skills to put together some decent wins even in the 90s

 

very true about Tubbs. people don't know.

Toney vs an aussie achytype like Danny Green!! Brilliant stuff. When macho cultures collide!!
I suspect Green considered that more important than the vast majority of his actual fights!
Always liked Green. His Arnie impersination "I''ll be back" after the Beyer defeat made me chuckle.

hehe, nice guy, good fighter and proved his worth in the gym sparring one of the best all time

 

Tubbs has a GREAT pottential and has some nice wins on his resumee but personal problems and drug addictions kept him from reaching the next level...

 

So rare to see a decent thread on the gf recently. Too partizan normally.
