Whats Steve Aczel up to these days?? No Idea.. he used to do security at the Dorset Gardens Hotel in Melb's outer East about 18 years ago... other than that, I'll have to ask around. Great fighter and national treasure all the same.

As long as you KNOW it thats all that matters. I have every fight of Mo Harris' that I know was filmed and he was NOT a hard puncher. He was an extremely talented boxer but he was the epitome of a gym fighter who gets stage fright which is why he was more popular as a sparring partner than a main event fighter. In the gym he looked great (boxing, not punching) when it mattered he couldnt pull it together. But he was never NEVER a puncher. Period.

Eubank put Herol to sleep in next to no time, which left the gym SHOCKED.

This thread puts me in mind of ****** Fortune's comments about sparring with Dennis Andries:

“We were just sparring. We used to work in the same gym in London. Dennis hit me with a ****'n shot; it was just unbelievable! Next round, I put his teeth through his lip. But, Jesus, he hit me the hardest I've ever been hit. ****'n, it was with a headgear on and 16-ounce gloves.”

I asked him: "When you took that shot, what'd you find out about yourself?"

“Noth'n. It was just a ****'n good shot. Then I got pissed and give it to him the next round. It was the first time I was hit like that...to that extent. I thought, "That's what it's like!" OK, then you just shrug it off and say, "great shot " and go back to work. It didn't wobble me. It just put tingles down my bloody toes and stuff.

yeah apparently leonard's strategy was to go gung ho in the first few rounds an try to get the fight stopped on cuts or just a normal stoppage

then 1 day in front of john madden an several other celebrities QT hit leonard with a monstrous shot and he even surprised himself with how good a shot it was

from that moment on leonard quickly adjusted the game plan an the rest is history :yep
