What's the ****ing point more like How could he have fought all of them? If he'd have fought every one of those guys you'd be here saying he dodged Floyd and Pac. That's you all over. He has fought the two best around, end of story, so any talk of dodging people is null and void.
Brat, I don't see what's Illogical. I'm saying that you'd be cheering on the boxer who you were a fan of because of his style of fighting. As opposed to the one who just happened to be from your country but who has a much cruder approach that, despite nastionalistic leanings, you don't appreciate as much. At the end of the day fighters are fighting for themselves and their own glory in the most individualistic sport there is.
I didnt say he had to fight all of them did i. FOR ****S SAKE LEARN TO READ ALREADY! My point was a simple one that has gone entirely over your head. I never said anything about ducking dodging or the price of fish. I SAID THEY WERE ALL OPPONENTS THAT HAD VERY GOOD CHANCES OF BEATING HATTON SOUNDLY. Its taken you half a page to understand that. :roll:atsch
Round 'n round we go...... You just can't accuse Hatton of ducking he's chased the two best one after the other, come up well short yes.In all honesty though he 'could' have kept his head down and gone after Bradley,Campbell,Holt and let Manny chase PBF and cotto,Mosley etc... It would have been the wiser move but he wanted his shot at glory, got it and couldn't hit the heights. That suddenly doesn't turn him into fish food for Timothy Bradley and Junior Witter does it. He just hit a level he couldn't campaign at. He's no quitter, ducker , fraud or any such like.A nice bloke (I think) who's been great for British boxing. He'll be missed when he retires....
Nope, still don't get it. You created a list of hypothetical matches for no real reason? Is that a 'point'? It's a very **** one if it is.
You said it was a good result for fans of 'boxing'. That's nothing to do with personal preference is it? Who will be the best winner 'for boxing' when (if) Floyd fights Manny?
Manny of course. Manny has shown he'll face anybody and take on far riskier fights moving up in weight. Floyd cherrypicked a great deal.
Yeah thats a common theme on ESB. Check out there General Forum and British Forum theres at least a 100 threads doing the same thing And il write it for you one last time: THOSE FIGHTERS ALL HAVE A LEGIT CHANCE OF BEATING HATTON SOUNDLY. You would have thought that was elementry point to grasp. Evidently not.
I disagree on the grounds that Ricky went into the fight expecting to win, believing he could win, he trained his ass off in his pursuit and only fell short when facing the best. Had he just gone over for a paycheck I'd give him no respect what-so-ever.
So what is the point of that list Scurla? Its just a list containing Welterweights, a couple of fighters that were no more than prospects when Hatton was champ and a couple of legit 140lb contenders that Hatton didn't happen to defend against while he was taking on other challengers at the weight. He can't really win because if he's have beaten Torres/Holt instead of Urango then you'd have just had Urango on your list instead of one of those two. If he beat Bradley you'd just dismiss that win with a "who has Bradley really beat? comment. The rest don't even fight in Hattons division, the only real omimsion from Hatton record you've listed is Cotto and the fact that fight didn't come off was just as much down to Cottos people as it was Hattons.
Erm they happen to be the better fighters in and around Rickys divison. Or didnt you notice that? And for the last ****ING time im not interested in ommisions or dodging. I mentioned them as fighters who would all have legit chances of beating Hatton. Simple simple point that none of you ****ers can even begin to grasp. **** me. atsch
Yeah, and i stand by that. I said on page 2, I think, of the predictions thread who I thought would win and who I also wanted to win based on the way they fight and how much I have enjoyed following their respective careers. I'd use that criteria again in your Manny v Mayweather example and still come out wanting Manny to triumph based on enjoying more the way he has fought throughout his career than Mayweather throughout his. But in this case neither falls into that category of fighter that too often ends up getting tangled up requiring a lot of involvement of the ref - which I don't particularly enjoy watching, maybe you do enjoy that kind of fight and if you do that is something I struggle to understand why.
BTW Scurla Hatton did not DUCK P4P boxers like Marg Williams Cintron Cotto SSM Judah Berto Holt Torres Bradley or Witter . :rofl:rofl
