Anybody want to see my list of left handed Latino fighters that would have lasted more than 6 rounds against Alan Minter?

    No disrespect intended chief

But it's mighty arrogant to claim that your personal preference - and that's all it is - represents fans of 'boxing'

Yeah granted, I could have probably explained it a little better and placed more emphasis on the 'for me' angle. You know how it is on here though, we often think people will get our gist from the couple of sentances we can be arsed, or have time to type.

Just in case and to illustrate it a little further. I enjoy most watching free flowing bouts where the action, close range included, requires little involvement of the ref, and without wishing to sound arrogant or putting words into anyones mouth, I'd say that is true of most people on here - boxing fans.
Lets say a hypothetical fight took place and I asked you your opinion. I doubt you would respond with:
" Yeah it was ok, lots of action, too and froe, toe to toe, but you know I was very dissapointed that the ref didn't have to do much all night".

Some fighters tend to be involved quite often in fights that are less free flowing and do require constant ref intervention to reset them, and Ricky throughout his career and because of his style has often been one of these. It's due to this that I have never particularly enjoyed his performances whereas I have always enjoyed Pac's in out approach that tends to negate over involvement by the ref. If neither fighter involved fights in a way that causes constant interuption to the flow then I'd most likely be neutral and just wish to see a good fight - although I may then have a preference base on other factors.

Shows there lack of abilty then.

Having 8 or so weights is far easier and more sensible.

Should we create more divisions then :
    200 - 210-
    210- 220-
    220-240
    240+

I mean come on how unfair was it for Byrd to fight men far bigger than him?

Exactly.............your gonna say no we shouldnt becuase they are heavyweights and the percentage of weight they are giving up isnt as much as the little guys......and blah blah blah..........to many weight divisions.

    130 and below---
    130-140
    140-154
    154-168
    168-185
    185-200
    200-210
    210 PLUS

8 WEIGHT divisions........now we see who is good and who isnt

Witter maybe but I can see Khan being sparked in the first by Manny. Dont read too much into the sparring session.
