In a perfect world where boxing didn't suck, it would look a lot more like MMA: Fights getting made based on public demand, fighters rewarded for fighting hard, losses on everybody's records and nobody caring, etc. Fighters would make it to the top (UFC) based on performing well on local circuits and smaller productions. No PPV though, screw that. First, we seize power by assassinating Al Haymon and any members of AIBA, WBC, WBA, WBO, and the IBF that we deem necessary. But definitely Al Haymon. Second, we set up an international ruling body for the sport of boxing. It will be like the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and FIFA. Sort of. Basically it will oversee all boxing in the world. Local circuits can be formed but our titles and rankings will be the only ones that matter. Third, we nullify all rankings and titles with the exception of lineal titles currently held by active fighters. Fourth, we organize seeded tournaments to establish the new rankings/champions. Fifth, we refuse to work with premium cable networks and sell our fights to network TV and basic cable channels. (This will cause HBO and SHO to find more creative ways to show us bewbs while simultaneously making boxing more accessible to mainstream fans. Sixth, we work toward cutting it down to 10 weight classes and same-day weigh-ins (combined with just-before-stepping-into-the-ring re-weigh-ins. *********************************************************** MAIN ATTRACTIONS: 6-Man 2-Year Tournaments: 112 126 130 140 147 147 160 200 200+ 200+ 200+ 4-Man 6-Month Mini-Tournaments: 122 160 8-Man 1-Year Tournaments: 168 175 UNDERCARD TOURNAMENTS 6-Man: 105 112 135 140 154 160 8-Man: 118 154 RULES: 6-Man Tournaments: -Super Six format -Subs on standby and/or pulled from Second String as needed. 8-Man Tournaments: -Single Elimination (3 Fights/1 Year) -Winners/Losers Brackets -Subs pulled from next bracket if needed 4-Man Tournaments: -2 Fights/6 months -Winner moves up ********************************************************** UNDERCARD 105: Midget Fighting (TBD) 112 1. You know of you just support aiba that they very well could take over pro boxing completely and make it like the NFL and amateur boxing would be like college football
How are they corrupt? Some of the judging decisions in the past have been terrible but it's not really a reflection on the organisation as a whole And it's the only possible way of getting what you want So are you going to live in fantasy land or get behind aiba
I don't like what they're doing. I was interested initially but it seems more like a farm team for old amateurs who aren't good enough/young enough to make a living in the big leagues.
