Monzon should handily beat him. McCellan was a vicious puncher, and a huge middleweight, but Monzon was no small middleweight himself, and just a better fighter.

McCellan was a great puncher, Monzon was a great fighter.

  2. Monzon would have beat him with ease, to compare Mccllean to Monzon is laughable:lol:

    G-Man-Pavlik I can handle...Even G-Man-JC is worth a discussion..even though not much of one.

But G-Man-Monzon would have been a moida...Carlos would have handled Gerald like a second wife.

The next poll will be "can McClellan beat jesus in a 400 meter race on lake Nazareth?".

Surely the McClellan fanboys must be considered the most out-of-touch fans on ESB. And there is quite a competition, but I think that is a fact. To put a guy who only ever met two fighter in the top 10 (not all time top 10, but just top 10 at the time) in his own division and lost to one of them - against a true ATG. Now that is just insane - if it wasn't just plain stupid.

Gerald LOOKED much more Spectacular than Carlos - but that did not mean he was more EFFECTIVE - I think Gerald is the Sprinter and Carlos would Drag him into a torrid distance Event, come the 8th round and those Long Arcing Monzon Right Hands start coming in with ever increasing regularity, and Gerald can not live with this pace at this stage in the fight, Monzon Circa 10th sounds good to me, Carlos rarely rushed it

It may be that Gerald could not overcome Monzon Victims Griffith Briscoe and Valdez ? Never mind King Carlos Himself.
