I said I thought Ward would beat Toney, not that he would school him.

Mark, the way your mind works is bizarre.

Nobody would argue with your point above. But those guys were obviously noted to highlight the times that James was sharp and motivated.

Andre wouldn't have toyed with Griffin.

It would more than likely have been a very cagey and technical, somewhat dull fight.

A switched on and motivated version of James could definitely have beaten Kovakev. But we can't use the Canelo fight as a reference.

    They're not excuses.

    Kovalev was clearly damaged goods.

There's no way that Oscar would have let Canelo fight the versions of Kovalev who fought Hopkins, Pascal and Ward etc.

Reggie Johnson had. Ward would be the one hardest to hit Toney ever faced besides Jones imo.

H2h I think Toney is somewhat overrated and and just a tad below Ward.

Kovalev always was an overrated limited guy, when ward exposed him then started the excused inventing fantasies about he was better pre ward etc. Bull****.

I'm a huge fan of Andre's, and Andre exposed him as a bully. But he was finished when he fought Canelo.

Andre beat him both physically and mentally, and then Alvarez knocked him out.

He was then lucky to beat Yarde before he took on Canelo with little prep time.

Canelo wouldn't have knocked out the versions of Kovalev who fought Hop and Clev etc.

Mike was more skilled but 35-36 and not a natural middle.

Id say Nunn was harder to hit.

No Nunn was definitely harder to hit than Ward. Can I ask you who did Ward beat that makes you so sure that he could beat a fighter as skilled as Toney?

People definitely built him up as some sort of Terminator.

    I can remember the threads.

Andre definitely exposed him as a bully.

He was a very dangerous fighter in his prime though.
