What?!?! Have what both ways? I'm not trying to have anythinbg 'both ways', whatever that refers to.

Like I said originally, Floyd wouldn't have even considered the fight. If 160 is too big today, it's too big yesterday and tomorrow.

    I despair.

    Work it out.

    Look at his actions.

Look at the BS he pulled.

    Look at his comments.

I’m either been trolled or you’re just being naive and argumentative.

A man who behaved the way he did, would not have fought Ray Robinson.

A man who took an illegal IV after 6 years of dodging Manny, wouldn’t have fought a peak version of Ray Robinson, who was better than Manny, who’d have been bigger, stronger and more powerful than himself, and who in McGrain’s scenario, would have beaten Manny beforehand.

If you can’t comprehend that, then there’s no point in replying.

not to mention... a man who says 160 is too big for him! That alone suggests Floyd would NOT take the fight, w/o some heavy stipulations which only benefit him.

Floyd wouldn’t have considered the fight at WW.

He wouldn’t have fought SRL and Hearns either.

His actions over the years tell us that.

He wouldn’t have taken the fight at WW.

A peak version of Ray Robinson would have been a huge threat to his zero.

We know that he dodged Manny for 6 years.

We know that he cheated JMM.

We know that he took a safe option in Berto to get to 49-0

We know that he used an MMA fighter to get to 50-0

We know what he did with Maidana and Canelo.

    We know what he said.

    We know about the IV.

    It’s not rocket science.

I don’t know why these guys are digging their heels in.

A risk adverse fighter who pulled all of that BS throughout his career, would not have fought Ray Robinson at any weight.

You don’t need to be Columbo to piece it all altogether.

If he point blank refused to fight a fellow JMW at the limit, then the mere thought of him signing a contract to fight a guy like Ray, is absolutely laughable.

    He wouldn’t fight Canelo without a C-W.

He wouldn’t fight a prime version of Manny.

Yet he’d have fought a guy who many people perceive to be the GOAT?

    Are you guys serious?

He wouldn’t fight the best fighter of his own era when he was in his prime, yet he’d have fought the greatest fighter of all time when he was in his prime?

Yeah. That’s perfectly logical. It makes perfect sense.

You do know Robinson also fought at WW don't you?

And as for having it both ways. You're trying to say Floyd wouldn't take the fight because Robinson was a MW, I pointed out he already beat today's MW champ. You said he had a catch weight, I said well maybe he'd have a catch weight with Robinson to which you then said that's not how fantasy fights works.

So either this is a fantasy fight, in which case it happens by default, or it isn't in which case Floyd would probably fight him at some point in his career were the two to overlap.

If you can't comprehend it then don't reply.

Floyd fought the top rated fighter in every division he fought in. I've no doubt he'd have fought Robinson who would also have been a top rated fighter in a division he would have fought in.

I never said he'd fight a peak version, he didn't fight many peak versions in his real career.

Stop being a troll and use rational logic for once.

Sure. SRR is known for his MW reign most of all. But why not Floyd v SRR at 140, that's a historic fantasy matchup.

Stop, take a deep breath and look at what you're actually saying.

The post I made, the one you replied with war and peace to, said "I've no doubt he'd face Robinson at some point"

The post you've just made after yapping on all night lists a bunch of fighter he faced at some point.

You're making my argument for me.

    That gives two options

    1) you're a troll who likes to argue

    2) you fail to comprehend the meaning of" I've no doubt he'd face him at some point"

What are you going on about?

    For one WW is 147.

For another Robinson is known are the greatest WW in history.

I didn't realise that you didn't know what we were talking about here, I presumed you knew Robinson was a great WW fighter.

    That's on me, I apologise.

I should have made sure you knew what you were going on about before engaging you in a debate.

    Once again, I'm sorry.

Honestly I do apologise. I've re read your posts and I can see now you genuinely thought this whole time people were trying to debate a MW fight.

I'm sorry for not pointing out to you we were all discussing a WW fight, the one where Robinson is held in the highest prestige.

    I'm glad you accept it.

Hopefully now you can move on from this embarrassing affair.

It was so obvious when I read back.

The assumption should have been discussions in a fight at 147 pounds.

Sugar Ray Robinson is the greatest and the best fighter to ever campaign as a welterweight.

The opening post is saying what concessions would Floyd ask for to make this fight.

I see it happening only two ways, if Mayweather is the A side:

    1) Robinson is old and loses a step, but still the best fight out there (for example Pacquiao)

    2) Robinson has moved from welterweight, but Mayweather demands a fight at welterweight anyways, or a catch weight (for example Canelo)

Now the problem here is Mayweather would not be the A side. We all know Mayweather couldn't really dictate terms until after he'd beaten De La Hoya. For that to happen Mayweather first had to beat Judah and Baldomir at WW.

If Robinson is around, Mayweather would have had to go through him before he became the A side.

Which means Mayweather would have to accept terms from Robinson and concede to his demands. Floyd would be the under dog and the b side. Which he had arguably been against Hernandez, Corrales and Castillo. Those fights got made no problem.

Which brings me back to my original post on the thread, I've no doubt the fight happens, I just think he'd lose.
