Floyd is too small and not strong enough to handle a prime Tito he'd get laid out ... if he chose to run then he'd just prolong his knockout loss
Why though? Tito cannot walk through Floyd's punch's and Floyd has a good chin and Tito has always had trouble with boxers. He is also open to straight shots, he would eat Floyd's right hands.
bro i think floyd is atg material but not at 147 lbs i don't see him beating atg's at 147 whereas at 140 i'd side with him against just about anyone in history... Since he has been at 147 he hasn't fought anyone with the exception of judah who isn't great but good...baldomir, hatton, mitchell ???? 2 natural junior welters and 1 welter who is possibly the slowest welterweight i have ever seen the DLH win was good but DLH clearly wasn't the fighter that his all time ranking is based on ...in his prime DLH beats Floyd
People do tend to forget how great Tito was at 147. He was relentless, had great power in both hands, he destroyed everyone in that weight class, besides DLH. I think Tito pulls it out, KO 11.
50/50. If Floyd doesn't get caught with a freaking left hook he wins a UD. Floyd was/still very fast but Tito could KTFO anyone on 147. It would have been a great fight.
I think prime De La Hoya beats Floyd also. But Tito was a exciting fighter and a nice guy. But he hated to fight boxers, also if Oscar who i think has a better chin than Tito could not walk through Floyd i cannot se Tito doing it. Tito lacks the speed and boxing ability to beat Floyd, he is also open to straight punch's down the pipe. I cant see Tito winning, I am not a particular fan of Floyd either.
Bull****. You mean the same Tito that was outboxed for the first half of the fight give me a ****ing break.atsch If Oscar could do it PBF who is a better boxer than Oscar could have done it and not ran out of gas like Oscar did as well.:deal
Tito-PBF prime-for-prime is impossible @147 cuz 147 isn't PBF's prime weight. I think he was at his best @140. I think Floyd's defensive brilliance, accuracy, speed and his respectable power would be enough, but it would be close. Remember that tito was a big WW, 5'11 and probably close to 160 on fight night. Too open though, and not quick enough.
Floyd hasn't fought ANYONE in Tito's league and he struggled with Castillo, people that say that Floyd wins this easy are morons.
