Mayweather schools him in a wide UD. You should find out at the end of the year

Pacquiao. Mayweather without his edge in foot/hand speed just isn't all that great. Pacquiao jumps all over him and outworks him to a decision, maybe a stoppage. Like Beristain said, Mayweather's ok at blocking one or two shots, but when you have more than that reigning in from different angles with speed and power he loses. Pacquiao threw a fifteen-punch combination against Cotto.

    Mayweather, on points.

The fight wont happen. Maybe when they are old it will, but not this year.

Mosley might upset Mayweather anyway. I actually give Mosley a better chance than Pacquiao.

Pac; he will win a workrate decision. he has fast enough feet to close the distance on Floyd and I can't see Floyds defence keeping up with thatamount of punches.

This is the long and the short of it. If orthodox plodders can pin Mayweather down for long enough to win a few fights, just think what somebody with the footspeed, handspeed, angles, power and output of Pacquiao will do to him.

Only way I can see Mayweather winning is if he somehow learns to clinch like Monzon. Don't see it, though.

Mayweather has a lot of advantages i think some in this thread are over looking, firstly pacquaio has shown he has a weakness for the straight right hand, this happeneds to be mayweather best punch.

Also look how pacquiao got frustrated when cotto began to move, now mayweather is much better at boxing and moving than cotto is and has far more footspeed, making it more difficult for him to be caught up to, and he has far less leaky defense than cotto when pac does manage to catch him

Also mayweather has a massive reach advantage, meaning as pac moves in mayweather has the chance to get his shots of and start moving again.

I agree that pac workrate and use of angles are definetly the selling point for him in this fight, mayweather can be too passive but also if pac makes him fight whose to say he won't

I think the fight could well turn into a what you like sort of fight, with mayweather doing the more quality work but pac doing more work.

I favour mayweather UD myself but it will be a great contest either way

It's a shame this fight isn't happening and all we can do is speculate. A disgrace really.

You're right,it IS an absolute disgrace. Boxing needs a superfight at this moment, and you'd think that everyone concerned here would be working their nuts off to get this one on.

Mayweather just doesnt throw enough at welterweight and I can see him being hurt early by Pacquiao as he tries to adjust. Pacquiao will committ to the body use in and out movement and in a way do what Hatton did but 10 times better.

Floyd may have his moments where he can catch him on the way in but in the Cotto fight Pac showed himself to have an iron chin; I think Pac (backed by a Roach gameplan to move Floyd to the ropes) will take an early lead after four before Mayweather fights on even terms in the middle rounds; however he is worn down over the championship rounds and loses a close but clear decision or is stopped late.

    Just my opinion.

Clotteys defense and countering skill will cause Pacquaio problems, but the Pacman probably outworks Clottey or gets a contentious decision. Clottey could just shock the world here though, heres the nearest thing to Marquez Pacman will have faced

    I think you nailed it.

Manny is no slouch but I think stylistically Floyd just has the clear advantage.

Personally I think stylistically Shane Mosley presents a bigger challenge to Mayweather than Pacquaio does.
