Lets say that you could make up to five fantasy fights happen to suport your views on boxing history.

You are not trying to test the truth, but are quite cynicaly hand picking some fights, where you think the result is likley to reinforce your position on this forum.

What fights would you gamble on?

You may pick five or any lesser number that you think would serve your purpouse.

Of course if you get it wrong then it will all blow up in your face.

Interesting one this one Janitor hhmmmm

first one that comes to mind would be Jack Johnson against Mike Tyson - I see Johnson getting Tyson so mad, and Tyson getting distracted from his game plan and then Johnson punishing him - Johnson wouldn't let you throw one or two in a row (let alone combinations) he'd just smother you before you got started - Larry Holmes tried to hold on a lot and stiffle a lot of Tyson's attempts by tangling up his arms but he could only get away with it for so long - Johnson was a much better all round than Larry (and curiously Holmes threw of his famed jabs on the outside) - for as long as it took Johnson would for-go getting much scoring done himself keeping the busy Tyson tyed up - he would not have any qualms about not allowing his man to do anything - even to the point of risking getting points deducted for persistant holding - Johnson would take it as far as a referee would let him get away with it and then when he had to start fighting properly I think Tyson would get a shock at how much power Johnson had too

I agree on Johnson being able to beat loads who others reckon he couldn't, but i thought Ali beating Marciano was somewhat consensus.

I actually go the other way and if Marciano was bigger he'd be my only hypothetical choice to beat Ali, the only thing that puts me off is the size.

    TEETO!

You are entiltled to your picks.
When I say schooled ,I meant wins 12 of 15 rds, thats if he does not stop him because of loss of blood.

Take no notice of me, I am somewhat mellow, through alcohol poisoning.:good

Johnson Tyson might just prove to be one to win it for the old timer fans.

Tyson was comprativley easy to neutralise in the clinches, and he basicaly never developed infighting skills. Johnson could tie him up and work that uppercut on the inside where Tyson was weak.

Of course Johnson might just get sparked, but it would be worth a throw of the dice.

I think that if Marciano fought Ali, the worst he could do would be akin to one of Joe Fraziers loosing efforts.

Frazier is just about as bad as it gets for Klitschko, that would be brutal

This fight would certainly prove one faction right at the expense of the other.
